I personally have been through the appeal process in the past and know all the pitfalls of the process. Based on that experience I can say that there are lots of ‘unqualified’ immigration advisors who provide the wrong advice just for the sake of the fee. They may even advice you to appeal knowi...

Does parking penalty constitute a trafic offence?

I have been issued with a parking penalty today because i missunderstood that the parking in the retail car park was paid for. I believe i cannot dispute this because i clearly parked in the wrong place. So, if i pay the penalty, would i still have to disclose it in all my future aplications to the ...

I heard many people got visa stamped in less than 3 weeks time. One of my friend applied on 27th March and he got his passport back yesterday (13th April). Any idea when i will get to know the decision? Why are worrying that much? Nobody knows when their case would be considered. Some people wait f...

I also used a solicitor with my application. He chaged me £1400 because i have 2 dependents. But in overal i am happy with the service. This is mainly for two reasons: 1. Your solicitor can assess your case and tell you whether it would be successful or not. Then he can assess all your documents, c...

Many thanks for your reply, VKS. I understand that the HO is able to track my applicatiion by name, DOB, address, etc. But what if they consider information provided by my soliciotr not as an error, but as a misrepresentation? I signed the application where i confirmed all info in there was true to ...

Mistake in additional information

I applied for Tier 1 Gen on 1st April through a solicitor. When my solicitor asked me when i previously applied for my psw visa, i automatically replied it was on 31 March 2009. However, after checking my records, i soon realised it actually took a place on 27th March 2009, or 4 days before that. I ...

Hello, Guys! I sent my documents to AIU on 6 Oct and my psw visa was endorsed on 26 Oct, but i didn't receive the passport back until after 4th Nov (10 days later). The delay could have been due to the postal strike. The whole process took me 17 weeks since my determination. I believe service standa...

Does anybody waiting for passposrt back from AIU?

Is there anybody on this forum who sent their passport off to the AIU and still awaiting for it to come back? Please share your time frames. My documents were sent off on 6th Oct, and the AIU received them on 7th Oct. I also sent a letter with an urgent treatment request on 28th Oct, but still there...

When can I get my passport back from AIU?

My appeal was allowed on 7th July and my solicitors received the call-in letter on 28th September (3 month later). My documents were received by the AIU on 7th Oct, but i still haven't heard anything back from them. Is there anybody on this forum who can share their experience with me as to how long...

I would recomend you to send the passport off to the AIU without the call-in letter requesting the urgent treatment. It is possible the call in letter had already been issued to you, but it could have been lost by the Royal Mail. Some people on this forum did it like that and got their passports bac...

This service is absolutely terrible. Some people receive their visas within 8 weeks in total, but some are forced to wait for more than 16 weeks! I just don't know what to do, as without the visa in my passport i can neither work nor travel.

passport back from AIU

I am new to this forum and would appreciate if someone could help me. My maintenance appeal was allowed in Jun, but I only received the call-in letter in the end of September, 3 month later! I then posted my passport on to the AIU and they received it on 7th Oct. Unfortunatelly, I haven't heard anyt...
