Re: Urgent Tier1 Application Query

This depends on your personal choice and circumstances. If you plan to work for the same employer and are happy with what you are doing, then maybe you do not need to switch to Tier 1. If you want to move from your current job and look for other options, then Tier 1 might be helpful. Hi Guys, I am g...

No need to be sorry. Do not feel bad. I just wanted to mention that the forum has got answers to most of the questions already. It might save time for regular responders like Ramesh / Chetan and others to answer new questions rather than answering the same things again. I just felt it will benefit e...

Hi, Sorry to say this, but these have been answered so many times in this forum. Please spend some time and search this forum and if you are still unable to find answers, post your question as a new post, with the relevant subject (these are not about bank statements anymore, is it not?) and someone...

Donno what tips can one possibly give? Put yourself in the employer's shoes. Will you hire from someone based on a telephonic interview, without even seeing the person, when the total jobless people in the country is 2.1 million. I wont. On a serious note, if possible you can apply for a leave of 1 ...

If they are regular official statements that come through the post, no sign / stamp is required. Also, if for the last 3 months your balance has always been more than £2399 (£800 for you and £533 *3 for your 3 dependants) and if this is reflected in your statements, then you do not need any furth...

Herts, Child Tax Credit is a benefit. Childcare vouchers are something different. Whether you can claim Child Tax credit depends on your Visa status. Child care vouchers are usually offered by employers. They deduct a portion of your gross (pre-tax salary) (max £243 per month) which can be used to ...

This is not a benefit (like Job Seeker Allowance / Council Tax allowance etc). Even someone with "NO Recourse to Public funds" on their passports (Tier 1 holders for instance) can claim this as this does not come from Public funds. The first £243 every month comes out of your gross (pre t...

Good to hear that you have sorted it out.

Can you also please provide the courier company contact details, cost, etc for everyone's benefit?

Re: HSMP to Tier 1 extension: Early renewal by 9 months?

Am not sure to be honest. It depends on the circumstances. One thing that can surely help is to try and increase the earnings (through new job / second job etc) to compensate for the points that will be lost due to age. Other suggestions welcome. Hello all I find myself in this situation as I had to...

I agree with Chetan. As per your descrpition, I assume if you apply now you get the bare minimum points (75 + 10 + 10) including points for age. I guess the case worker can find easily that you are applying now only to qualify by virtue of your age. As Chetan says, there is a risk for rejection unle...

You can indeed open a bank account without a job. But for most of the bank accounts you would need a utility bill in your name, as an address proof. There are some accounts like HSBC passport, which open an account for a new comer for some monthly fee (for 1 year) to save hassles. Check out the inte...

Congrats Bluest_skies.

The sky indeed looks the bluest I have seen it for weeks in London today. Fingers crossed. :-)

BTW, was your fee £1050? I thought it was £1020 (Only £200 extra for in person).

Has the fees gone up or is it a typo?

Hitesh, Personally, I am wondering why are you travelling at this time of the year. If you already have an offer it is great.
