How long we can defer the ceremony date

Hi,

we have received the approval letters on 14/08/17 and currently we are in India due to medical emergency and I need to know how long we can defer the ceremony date, i.e 3 months or 6 months. We need to stay in India for another couple of months before go back to UK.

Hi, thanks for the replies
in section 7.13: How long have you lived in the UK? I am counting the 5 years (Mar'11-Mar'16) minus my total absences 252 days (apprx. 8 months), which is 4 years 4 months. Is this ok or do I need to count my previous stay since 7th Jan 2010. Please clarify me.

Thanks for your prompt reply.
for section 6.1, I will enter the date as 21/3/2011 as I am completing my 5 years period on 20/3/2016 and then I will give all of my absences from 20 mar'16 till 21 mar'11 in section 6.2.

I tried lastnight however couldn't find any slots after 13 feb, seems the system not releasing the slots 42 days in advance. Please clarify if anyone booked appointment from 14-24th Feb?

during this absence, I was actively looked for UK contracting jobs and got evidences of emails for telephonic interviews and eventually got an offer.

Hi Sushdmehta, thanks again for the clarification. actually I called to the homeoffice today @ 0300 123 2241 and they told me that the 28 days can be exempted and no need to count and they said its similar to the 90days rule which you don't consider when you enter before 90 days of your fist entry, ...
