Should I also include my wife's NHS certificate? Hi, I think the rejection comes because you haven't sent proof of your wife's private medical insurance. In all cases of self-sufficiency, private medical insurance should be taken for both eu and non-eu citizen. NHS is not accepted as private medica...

PR granted

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that PR was granted and our passports came back in around 4 months since getting COA (COA itself took 2 weeks). For the ones applying as self-sufficient who are wondering what happens for the period you didn't have Private Health Insurance, it seems to be fine to ta...

I've got rejected my EEA4 before because of the lack of private health insurance and, it came with a letter from HO saying that the insurance needs to be for both, EEA self-sufficient and non-EEA working. I just wanted to let you know that after sending proof of insurance for both of us, we receive...

Re: Hope is understood

I understand your point , what I am asking is Are you looking to backdate insurance because ur X EEA sopuse was not working or what ? Not at all. As far as I know, you cannot backdate an insurance. Anyway, I'm not looking for anything at the moment. As I already said, just waiting for the result. T...

Re: Hope is understood

Honestly they is something I missing. Why do you need Insurance on EEA4? If you are sending private medical Insurance because ur X was not working throughout then you have a very little chance of getting ILF. Can you tell me why you need it? Coz I felt you told me that you are divorce ? jude, pleas...

Re: Hope is understood

Iira , why did you want to wait untill ur application is back before you look for the Insurance? Have you try Universal provendence? It would be better to get 1 and sent it to them before the make their decision. jude, the whole point of this thread was that my EEA4 application was rejected because...

I do not understand why you guys are stressing your self . If you guys want your non EEA husband or wife to stay in the country just go and get the medical insurance. When you initially applied, did you not get a COA? Also did you get a time frame within which to send the insurance details? And did you find one with "emergency cover" In my case, I applied in March 2009 and an acknowledgement letter in May 2009 but only got the letter requesting more in...

Question about EEA4

If PR is granted by EEA4, is it still necessary to spend more than 6 months in UK to keep residency? I mean, does the same rule of the first 5 years apply for the following 10 years? Also, what comes after EEA4? (non-EU citizen is not planning to apply to British Citizenship because his nationality ...

Re: Very strange problem

Thanks for the info. May I ask what nationality are you and your husband, is any one of you an EEA national? as being any one of EEA national we can live and work anywhere in Europe so it shouldn't make any difference what nationality kids have as long as its within EEA. Would you agree? I'm EEA na...

Thank you for your reply. The reason why I thought I need to apply again is that the PR card has the same expiry date as my husband's stamp on his passport. It seems is not that "permanent" after all... Do you still think I don't need to renew it? I cannot find a proper explanation on HO's...

Home Office is asking now for family permit sponsors to have a private health insurance if they are self-sufficient (not working). I don' know how they consider pregnancy though. In UK we can take a European health insurance card: http://www.ehic.org/cover.html It does mention Austria, therefore, yo...
