Hello, I am hoping someone can tell me from their experience, how much time in advance does an individual need to book an appointment for public enquiry office? I would like to submit my SET(M) form in January2012, when should I book my appointment?

8 week is a long time for no reply, maybe you should try to get in contact with the new york office and check if they can confirm recieving your application.

What happens in the instance, the applicant is a full-time mum or housewife and dont "work"?

So if i put the date of travel as the 14th feb, and say it takes 4months to process, ie a lot longer than 14th feb, what will happen then?I guess they will automatically give u a later date than you requested?

You do not need a sponsor letter for spouse application. Its only required for a visitors visa. What are you going to say in the sponsorship letter?
