He won't be able to renew though, as I can't see how he is going to create 2 fulltime employee positions as an IT contractor. Nor can I see how he will invest £200k into a one man contracting company.

It's fine if the visa is in the old passport. You can pay £100 to have it moved to the new passport, or carry both. I did it for about a year, carried my old and new. Had to show both When they stamp the new one, they write "VIPP" on the stamp. Which I assume to mean "Visa in Previou...

Only work you're directly involved in. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/tier1/general/eligibility/pointsassessment/earnings/#header4 Unearned sources of income that we will not consider as previous e...

Your own limited company is fine for getting tier 1. I just renewed mine (and originally got my HSMP) via my own limited company earnings. It's just more paperwork. HO is used to dealing with limited company contractors. But you normally get a better deal on take home as well (since the umbrella is ...

And as such normally require you to be a client for a certain amount of time. So if they are charging around £500 for this, I wouldn't be surprised, and also wouldn't be surpr...

November to Jan/Feb is dead for hiring.

So a feel for what's going on in the market won't be until mid/late Feb.

With 5 years experience you will struggle to get a contract role.
