Re: Naturalisation approval letter and ceremony letter

I have got a question. I phoned my council several times about booking of a private citizenship ceremony. All the time they ask my details and after that they tell me you have to wait for a message. 15 days are gone since the date I have received my invitation letter. The council didn't send me any...

Re: English certificates for citizenship application

Hi all My husband is hoping to send off his application for citizenship in a few weeks. He has done the required English certificates but completes the Life in the UK test after October 2013. It says on the form that if he's done the test after this date he doesn't have to provide English language ...

Re: NEW AN(Citizenship) FORM MAY'2015

I agree with the above poster that many companies don't keep data of employees taxation or work hour for more longer period like five years. But what I guess and repeating again that if such over working is recent then it can come to surface easily while if over working belong to time let say 5-6 y...

Re: Citizenship Application - Criminal Record

Unfortunately, I think you have no choice but to list these offences. There are just too many of them. Also remember that if you do not list them, and HO finds out about them later, they may deprive you of the citizenship. I would consult with the lawyer on the best course of action to proceed. For ...

Re: Does Naturalization refusal also ceases existing ILR

hello members, If a naturalization application refuses due to having some problems in immigration history like breach of visa condition for example a student work full time during some period then whether the refusal also cancels existing ILR or ILR continue to exist????? Unless they believe that y...

Re: Citizenship Application - Criminal Record

When you say about trouble when you were younger, do you mean many years ago? Assuming it was not a lenghy prison sentence, this should not make an impact on your application, so better to list all relevant offences. Australia might have some data-sharing agreement with the UK.

Re: NEW AN(Citizenship) FORM MAY'2015

Hi , Looking at the discussion and here is my point of view Lets see it from different case point of view and see how this fits: Case 1 : Student Once a person will provide 10 years history , some of the years will fall under student visa status and if he has done work with any of the employer , he...

Re: April 2015 Naturalization application Timeline ONLY

It appears that last year's pattern is repeating itself. People who applied in April-May have to wait longer. Wonder if that's because they again have shifted staff to the passport departments?

Re: Naturalisation (English Requirements URGENT)

Did you also provide a print-out from PBC? This print-out, plus the original degree certificate, should have been enough (although, technically speaking, I agree that the fact that you have passed this requirement after October 2013, should have been sufficient as well). The application form clearly...

Re: Why does it take so long to process an application?

My understanding is that they sometimes have to contact a number of governmental departments, both in the UK and overseas. Those departments have their own agendas, and may not be in a hurry to respond to the home office. So, comparison with "background checks" agencies is not very fair, ...

Re: Why does it take so long to process an application?

If UKVI is doing background checks on every applications then how come one application is taking couple of weeks to go through the whole procedure including all checks and approval as well and other takes 6 months or more. that doesn't make any sense at all. It is just HO is not bothered and just m...

Re: My parents got refused family visitor visa!!!!

So, it was not enough for the government to take away the option of reuniting UK citizen children with their elderly parents (which most civilized counyries offer), they now have made it exremeley difficult for the parents to obtain even a visotor's visa. Despicable.

So, that may be why they've asked you about this. I wonder how did they find out you were abroad? Did you inform them that your address has changed to a foreign one? If you have spouse/children, do they live with you in the UK?

Hi DevThombare, NCS confirmed what sabeekj wrote earlier. They basically need my degree certificate and the printout from the points based calculator. For the points based calculator, they asked me to 1) Select Tier 2 (General) (There is no Tier1 (General) option available now, so use this instead)...

You are saying there are no stamps in your passport implying you wanted to settle in Holland. I think this is key, because one of their main arguments is that you don't plant to live in the UK. Hence I rephrase my question: how did they know that you studied in Holland? Did you tell this to them? Wh...
