Why do you have to make it complicated?

Her degree is mentioned in calculator, it's in English, so that's it. Don't imagine problems where none exist.

Re: Set(O) form and dependent absences

These absences will only be important at the naturalization phase (if she chooses to apply). For SET(O), my understanding is that dependent's absences are not important.

Re: Doubts in 06/2014 Set (O) Form ILR Under Tier 1 (G)

3. You need letters from all employers if you have changed job's for your absence out of UK for paid leaves. There were numerous examples on this forum of people who were not able to provide such letters, yet still obtained their ILR without a problem. What is important is that in any year, there a...

Dependent application

I am planning to apply for ILR, using SET(O) form. My dependent spouse will be applying with me. Am I right in thinking that she does not have to complete a separate application form, and that I should only submit one SET (O) form?

Re: ILR and employment taxes

Were you present in the UK for more than 183 days in 2009? If not, then perhaps you were a non-resident for tax purposes during that year:

Re: SET O Form Question 11L

Since years you spent in the UK as a student/PSW are not counted as a qualifying period for ILR, I don't think you should be concerned about this. However, just in case, you may want to bring a letter from University inviting you to study, or anything else confirming that you were with them. Perhaps...

Congratulations. However, why did you submit this? Just in case? It's not required for Tier 1 general applicants when they apply for ILR.

Re: ILR holder vs immigration officer on airport

Look, be reasonable. Even if they do have access to your SAR at the airport (which I highly doubt), they don't have time/energy to go through dozens (if not hundreds) of pages of information. They process scores of people during their shift, do you really think they have nothing better to do than to...

Date for PEO application

I got my first Tier 1 General visa on 30 July 2009. I entered the UK on 28 August 2009. My current visa (after 2nd extension) is valid until October 2015.

Am I right in thinking that I can apply for ILR on 2 July 2014?

Thanks.

Regarding your self-explaining letters for absences, were they with regards to unpaid leave? If yes, did you provide any "compassionate" reasons, or just explained that you were on a short leisury vacations abroad?

How many absences did you have over the last 5 years? Were any of them for unpaid leave? Did you submit any letters from your employers (or yourself) regarding these absences?

This seems to be a safe option, as if she then cheats and forges my signature it's on her. Or, as yo...

Not always.

For example, taxable pay may be less then gross pay, if some of the gross pay goes toward pension contributions.

For some people this can make a difference.

630 days absence from 2009-2013. No documents to show proof of absences. All were for personal reasons. I'm surprised you were granted ILR under such circumstances! Just make sure you don't have more than 90 days of absences in the last year, and try to justify as much as possible your 630 days of ...

I think so too. Some people think it is not humane to ask for bond. But it will be not more humane when they will refuse more applications, they will definitely do it. Nobody wants far right wing parties to gain support in UK and it may happen if too many illegals arrive from poor countries. If I w...
