Also, I am surprised that they refused your bank statement. I was always under the impression that being on original letterhead, such statements did not require stamps/signatures?

Re: Meeting gross of GBP 50, 000

So, you get a high net salary because you are taxed very lightly, rather than because your gross is as high as 50,000? If yes, I don't think you can just "extrapolate" your net monthly earnings to what a hypothetical UK person would earn, if they were to pay full taxes on their income. You...

You do realize that the new rules do not apply to those who are applying for extension now?

PS Oops, sorry. I now see that you are thinking hypothetically, rather than about immediate extension application.

You are not allowed to work to full time on tier1 visa. You have to apply for tier4 visa to study fulltime URGENT I am planning to study a full time course alongside my full time work. It requires two full [week] days attendance. My annual pay, which qualified me for Tier 1, remains the same. Also,...

Re: PhD on tier 1 General Visa

I know for a fact that Tier 1 dependents can study (I got this confirmation in writing, both from HO and the UK Embassy). The University also did not require the dependent to obtain Tier 4 visa, Tier 1 dependent was enough. I would assume the same applies to main Tier 1 visa holder. The only possibl...

You did not read it very carefully, did you? 'Extension applications will be subject to the same points table as above [the new table], but with small differences to the points awarded for age and UK experience, as at present.' This clearly applies to the new extension applicants, ie those who apply...

Re: Calling for anyone with a degree over 5 years got Tier 1

Sorry, I missed that you already answered this question in your OP. Looks like you need to contact a lawyer. I don't see a how a degree being older than 5 years can be a reason for not awarding education points. Did you claim points for UK experience, based on your UK degree? How many points in tota...

Re: Calling for anyone with a degree over 5 years got Tier 1

Did you claim points for UK experience, based on your UK degree? How many points in total did you claim? Is there any difference? The exact words are: This has been assessed correctly by the ECO. The UK qualification was obtained more than 5 years prior to the receipt of this visa application and th...

Re: Rules for Tier1-Extention??????

I agree with you, but still there are hints about the future. For example, currently those extending their stay can claim points for earnings starting from 16,000 pounds, while the new applicants can't do this. best thing is to chill out and just go with the flow. No one can ever predict the future....

Another reason to do it now is that when it comes to extension time, the new (much tougher) rules are likely to apply to the new applicants only. Who can be certain they will be earning 60-65 K in 2 years' time? eitherway, i hate the pressure, and i could have sit the IELTS exam last month, but i wa...

Re: Tier 1 - Is Bachelors degree eligible?

Still you have 35 points for earnings. It's your call, of course. Just be mindful of very bad labor market conditions here, and the propensity of the HO to make the rules extremely unpredictable. its 80 points total with master's degree (35) and 28 years old (10) (+20 for english and maintenance fun...

Re: Tier 1 - Is Bachelors degree eligible?

It seems to me that your salary, for the country you live in, is very high (otherwise you wouldn't make 80 points). Unless you have great job prospects in the UK, maybe you should think very carefully whether it makes economic sense for you to move there. Indeed it is still unofficial, with the numb...

Re: Rules for Tier1-Extention??????

I don't think so. The proposed rules for new applicants will be considerably tougher. If they apply to all those already in the country, very few will qualify for extension. Therefore, as far as I remember, the panel specifically recommended not to apply the new rules for extension to those who arri...

I think your question is really unusual, and before taking some answers on this forum for granted, you should really follow-up with the HO.
