Hello All,

Can you please guide me to a sticky or a previous post that lists all the documents to be submitted towards Tier 1 General extension? I am planning to apply in December first week.

anyone having a super premium appointment willing to share

Hello All, Does any-one have a super premium appointment for last week of november to Dec 14, 2012 that they are willing to share? My visa is expiring by the middle of December 2012, so we need to apply before that. We are happy to share the charges, we are aware that it's an expensive option and it...

Hi,

Yes - this seems to be the case. The PBS guidelines do not ask for entire copy as per my understanding - but same thing happened to someone i know. Might be additional document requirements for India.

studies

Hi, I am sure the Gurus can add or correct - this is my understanding. Typically Tier 1 is a skilled worker visa - so though when you reach another 2 years and apply for ILR - you are taking those 5 years period based on here as a Tier 1 holder. So may be they may not look for employment/earnings - ...

Thanks djb123. I believe you are referring to the following http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/newsarticles/2009/september/transitional-arrangements-earned Apologies, if i am mistaken here but isn't HSMP replaced by Tier 1? So may be it covers only old HSMP approvals and not Tier 1's. Ass...

original documents submission

Gurus, I have been reading up the forums regarding Tier 1 application. Based on the forms it has sections where you confirm whether original documents are attached. My question is this 1. When you make the application, do you submit originals like " degree certificates" etc and these stay ...

thank you djb123. appreciate your response. Regarding 2, since the ILR rules are being replaced in 2011, would this mean if i start my Tier 1 ( entry to UK) in say June 2010 - i would be able to apply under the current ILR rules in 5 years? Just would like to know if the HO comes up with rules that ...

Visit/settlement by parents

Hello Gurus, I am a prospective Tier 1 applicant and would like some advice on experience of visit by parents. 1. When working on Tier 1 is it easy for your parents to visit or stay with you? How long can they stay? 2. When can you apply for ILR for your parents? Is it after you get your own ILR or ...

settlement time-line in UK

Gurus, I am working towards a tier 1 application and would appreciate your guidance on some time-lines. I agree it's a bit too early to ask this, but i want to understand what it takes before making such an important move. 1. If i understand correctly you need to work for 5 years to apply for settle...

Thanks savvy_000. Okay i guess that makes sense. You can get your initial Tier 1 based on points based system, but then to get the extensions you need to be employed 12 months minimum before you reach settlement stage. IMHO - I wish they had built a bit more flexibility into the system..say employed...

how to maintain Tier1 status with employment

Gurus, I am new to this board and i am thinking of applying for Tier1. From what i understand this visa will allow you to work for any employer. However i wish to know if there are any explicit rules as to how long you can be without a job(may be searching) without jeopardizing any of the visa statu...
