Yep, the problem will exist until they update the previous address section of form to make it clear...and as you rightly said it does not make much sense .. The dependent application form clearly asks for all previous UK addresses in the last 5 years and requests you to print more pages if needed.. ...

I seem to have just posted the same question in the Tier 1 (G) category.. as its the same issue in the Tier 1 G form.....My issue is that the current address + 1 previous address does not add to 5 years.. However, as you say it does not request any photocopies or additional pages... Did you apply wi...

New version 12/12 - Previous address in the UK

Hi , I am due to go in for a PEO appointment for tier 1 extension and noticed that in the new version of the Tier 1 - G form (12/12 version), the section B13 asks for the current address & then B14 asks for the date you started living at this address. This is clear and has been filled out and is...

Transaction date on last bank statement

Hi, My tier 1 extension is on 28 dec and the last transaction date on the November statement is dated 28 nov , would anyone know if this will be an issue as it is exactly 31 days. The guidance states "The most recent bank statement must show a date within 31 days before the date of your applica...

I had the same scenario as yours in Sept 2011, out for 105 days at one go in 2008 while on work permit. The applicationw as refused and asked to reapply in 2013..I am not sure if the new rules have relaxed the 90 day rule...if it has been relaxed then I could apply earlier as well.. still waiting to...

Thanks very much for your responses...really appreciate it In which case.. For my scenario.. I would have to say 'Yes' to 'D2' and provide an explanation for the 105 days (over 3 months) absence.. my concern is will this be sufficient or this is still grounds for refusal.. It was a business trip - b...

90 day rule?

Couldnt find anything about the 90 day rule.. does that still hold? I was refused in 2011 though I had exactly 180 days out in 5 years- this included 1 long absence of 105 days. (while on work permit in 2008). I have now had tier 1 since Jan 2010. If the 90 day rule is relaxed, would I qualify for I...

ILR (in Oct 2011) refused due to 105 day continuous absence

The new rules do seem confusing at the moment. When I applied in Oct 2011 with a total of exactly 180 days out of the UK in the 5 years preceeding the application (out of which 105 days was a continuous business trip with a letter from employer), my application was refused stating enough time was no...

I would support the petition too.. has it been created already? The increase in fee is absolutely ridiculous..if it was 5-10% you could still understand.. 50% is unfair...and the reason given for all fee increase was along the lines of '' the people who benefit from these immigration categories shou...

@params - Yes, I did look through the forum and there was a post a while ago that suggested we needed to do the English test. English test and Biometric residence permit for Tier 1 extn

I had the same question, mine is coming up for renewal end of the year. As per the new requirements, I thought we now had to do an english language test even for extensions or have I got this wrong? I had shown the Masters Degree taught in English for the initial application in 2010. Also had a ques...

UK absence & salary query

Hi, I have completed 5 years in the UK and my UK absences are at the exact limit of 180 days during this period. However, there was one business related trip of 105 days (included in this 180). This was a planned trip and due to company policy the salary was moved from the UK to the overseas locatio...

Sorry.. also wanted to ask.. why did you need an employer letter, thought that was not required for Tier 1? or was this just a standard letter stating your employement and not a letter stating that you are still required by the employer to stay in the UK?

Congrats!! I am exactly at 180 days within the 5 years and this is excluding the travel days, which is a bit worrying if travel days are counted. It is quite strange/absurd if they say that we need to count the travel days as absences.. I am quite certain there were many posts on this site which sai...
