New Migration Advisory Comm Salary rider for ILR

Hi, Anyone know if existing tier - 1 workers entering UK May 2008 coming up for ILR in Apr 2013 could be affected by the latest MAC proposal (please see below)? http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/11/migrants-must-earn-35000-annually-to-stay-in-uk/ http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-15589596 If another post h...

Hi Does someone know if a new law is being proposed to bar existing tier - 1 migrants from applying for permanent residence in the UK? Thanks for replying.

I get paid on the 25th of every month. Agreed the 15 month period starts on 21 Dec 2009, but won't I be able to take credit for my December salary?

Thanks

15 month period for earnings

Hi

Will be grateful if someone is able to clarify.

I am planning to apply a month before for a tier - 1 extension of visa expiring in April 2011. If I apply say 21 March 2011, will I be able to claim earnings from period starting 1 Dec 2009 - 30 Nov 2010 (under the 15 months rule)?

Thanks

Premium appointments

Hi Can anyone please confirm if premium appointments for tier - 1 extensions can be made on the telephone? I have heard that tier - 1 extensions will need to apply for a biometric permit. Can anyone confirm? Also for the online option, I have so far been unsuccessful managing any appointments. What ...

No, I think in your case it should be 24 April 2008. Do 5 points make difference to your application? yes, I am at the brink. - If I am indeed under HSMP then I'll need to apply before end of next month although this means probably not getting to 5 year settlement. - Hypothetically if I do go fwd u...

Further clarification please

Its a bit tricky but in my opinion as you are currently on the Tier-1 VISA, you should be using the points applicable under the scheme. UKBA Guidance Note says: Claiming Points – Extension Applications only 66. Applicants should note that the available points for age differ at extension stage dep...

ILR questions

I am currently on a tier-1 general, not a dependant visa. My wife comes up for her ILR in May 2011 not March 2011. I am not sure if she'll be able to apply for ILR in March 2011 since that's more than 28 days earlier than her WP expiration May 2011. Any good places to look for proposed changes to Ju...

Tier 1 General

Hello

Can someone please advise on the following?

When is the earliest one can apply for a tier-1 extension? Can an application to extend an existing tier 1 general be made 4 - 6 months in advance of expiration date?

Thanks
