There is a possibility that the package is lying in the sorting office and the postman just left a note with the HO.

I don't think there is any such requirement to use the visa within a certain period. My visa was valid from 4th Feb. I traveled out of UK on 19th Feb and returned on 5th Mar which was when I entered using the PSW. Absolutely no problems.

From the posts here you will gather that receiving acknowledgement letters have been erratic. I would think, the only useful information on those letters is the PBS reference number which you can quote/use in future applications.

Eddy, Here is what the FAQ says - "You can continue working full time when your studies are completed for a period of four months or until your visa expires, whichever is sooner, whilst waiting for your examination results, prior to attending your graduation ceremony or before commencement of y...

@carlos02 Do the photos you submitted resemble any of the ones on the visas ? I mean is there any way that they can say that you are reusing the old pics ? If so send the new ones, else I think you are covered.

Dec 21st is quite some time ago and many people who applied later than that have received. Do call them to check on the status. Do you forsee any reasons why it is late. Some times it might be because it is delayed in transit.
Yes. I know of a friend whose PSW was rejected because he used the same photo that was used for his student visa more than an year ago. You should send a recent photograph. He was given a chance to appeal.

Hi Syed I don't know if it will work during the appeal. I have no clue how these go. But if you do get your bank statements from Pakistan, ask for the entire three months just to be on the safer side and not just that one week. Also, they might ask for proof that the money in Pakistan is accessible ...

@orgone Having a balance of less than £800 for the period 6 to 15 Sep should not be a problem. Also, since they have written to you for the stamp and signature, rest assured that your application is thru. It is only a matter of time before you receive your visa. A friend of mine was asked for some ...

Thanks Angelica. I agree with you. It worked well for me. I advice all applicants making use of overseas statements, to write a cover letter showing total balance on those dates and not leave it for the case worker to do the math. It helps them too immensely.

I do have the original bank statements in both cases. I plan to put a summary cover letter showing the total balance on all dates in the last 3 months (using the exchange rates from oanda).

Maintenance Funds (UK and oveseas account)

Hi,

I am using a combination of UK and overseas bank account to show that the £800 balance was maintained in the last three months before the application. Could someone clarify from your experience that this worked fine for you.
