If the child is born in the UK after your received your ILR then you can apply for the British passport straight away. If the child is born in the UK before your received your ILR then apply for naturalisation for the child using MN1 under section 1(3). In this case no need to wait until you get nat...

Thanks for the reply vinny! I 'm getting more confused. :?: Can some one please say eligible or not? Thanks When you apply for naturalization for your wife along with your application then it looks like she was away for more than 450 days in the last 5 years. If your second kid is born after you received the ILR then no need to naturalise that kid as a BC as he is already a BC. Just apply for British passport. But for your daughter who was born before you received your ILR need naturalization as BC. Use MN1 form for that.

There is no legal requirement to take the nationality. No one knows what is going to be the new rules until they release them. As per current provision if you pay money ILR stamp can be transferred to new passport. If you wish to carry the old passport with your current ILR after getting new passpor...

Also cheque is not equivalent to money until it is cleared. Only demand draft is equivalent to money. One can send a cheque and inform the bank not to authorise it. So no way cheque is equivalent to money for the amount we are talking here.

Why not save costs and wait until April to make a joint application with your wife? Just worried about the rules change. When we first came to the UK in early 2005, there was 4+1 years rule for BC without any Life in the UK test. Then it became 5+1 years for BC. Later Life in the UK test has also b...

Re: No Acknowledgement letter

Either you apply by post or NCS, it is always better to include a self-addressed next day special delivery envelope to receive all your documents including the passport(s) and the approval letter. If you have not enclosed then they will post it by ordinary post which may take sometime. You will rec...

Once you receive your British passport, you must surrender your Indian passport and get OCI (now PIO is no longer available). For more details about how to surrender Indian passport and get OCI, check Indian consulate website of the region where you live in the UK.

Singapore does not allow dual citizenship. If I were you and if I prefer UK passport for the baby I will straight away register the child as a British and get a British passport and forget about Singaporean citizenship.

Check particularly the referee form page. If there is no much difference then you can try to use that page. It would be better to get other pages done again from the new form.

You can try at a PEO with good supporting letter from employer for your business absent period in the UK.
