Just for information.

I had sent an affidavit sealed and signed by the notary. Now the OCI has been granted and despacted from Delhi. But not yet received at CGI, Edinburgh. But all in all CGI, Edinburgh is very slow in processing time when compared to HCI, London.

OCI application - Big blender - Facing problems

We (2 adults+2 kids) applied for OCI 3 weeks ago. Last week we received a letter that we mentioned 'Yes' in the place of Bangladesh or Pakistan nationality. I was totally surprised how I mentioned 'Yes' if we never had one. When I checked the question, I misunderstood the typographical error 'or' ju...

Hi Gidoc Thanks for your reply. The guy at VFS suggested me to send all cancelled passport. I don't know why he suggested that. IMHO, VFS all over the world works like this. They try to get all the documents evidence for visa application or other related stuff, even though some of them are not neces...

Today I called VFS to check whether they need self-attestation on all photocopied pages. The guy answered me said yes. As I made the call I just want to double check all the details about the documents enclosed. He said we need to enclose all the old passports which are not valid now. We are a famil...

Thanks for your reply, Your case is straight forward, Less then 450 days and less than 90 days in last year is no big problem, and one would surprise if you didn't get BC. You are right. But when I got the ILR I got more number of days than the allowed limit. I got the employer's letter to explain ...

Thanks for your inputs, Just wanted to know if someone has gone through the same situation as mine, and got naturalised. I was away for 447 days in total and less than 90 days in the final year of application. Most of my visits are work related and I worked for the same employer all the time. I am ...

You can always return for your interview using your ILR if the absence gap is not more than 2 years. Usually when you enter UK with visa the UK officer will ask you how long you are going to stay. In contrast if you enter with ILR you will be asked how long you been away from the UK to ensure your a...

If the passport application is not based on birth right then no need to fill this part. I mean any kid getting passport after parent's ILR or their own registration as British citizen need not fill that part of the passport application.
