Many thanks for the reply. A few queries, hope you don't mind me asking. When did you apply for the BC for your wife? Approx expected date of result? (At the moment I'm not rush to apply for BC for my wife so can wait for your result). NCS location? Can you share the content of the degree taught in ...

Re: Degree Taught in English

Many thanks for the replies.

Oh, I am surprised on this. Not sure of what is the difference between these two documents.
Anyone has any idea what this document is ?
Has anyone taken this route and not write an exam to satisfy this criteria?

Regards,
KK

English Language - Dependent

Hi,

For some reasons, this is still not clear to me if a dependent needs to write any exams other than the knowledge of life in UK. My wife is due to apply for her naturalization application process in couple of months.

Hi,

I was advised by the officer incharge in the Council Register Office. She contacted the Home Office to obtain this information. I really stressed on the timelines due to other reasons.

Re: Certificate of Naturalisation - Mistake

Not sure how you and I are in the same situation. I got this letter after the oath ceremony this month and the mistake is the date which is a hand written date (date of the ceremony) which is not something supplied by me and I don't understand how one needs to prove evidence to support this date is ...

Hi, I attended the ceremony and was issued the Certificate of Naturalisation. The event took place on 8th Jan 2014. In the certificate the date (not the date of Birth) is correct. The year part of the Date is incorrect. It should have been 8th January 2014 and its 8th January 2013. I realised this n...

Hi, I was given some information which I never heard of and not seen anywhere in the Guide or Booklet. Please let me know if I'm wrong that Referee doesn't need to sign on the back of the photo. Many thanks solospy and Smam for your replies. Under the Good Character, I haven't seen anywhere speeding tickets or parking tickets are bad enough to stop the BC. But I might be wrong. Thank you all for the help.

One final question. Just to save approx £400, I was thinking to wait till May 2013 to apply both applications. My question is, are there any advantage/loss by me taking Naturalization in May and not now?

Two comments: * Absences are calculated as full days (24 hrs) outside the UK so you don't count the day of departure and day of arrival so if you left the UK on 30th Nov 2007 and returned on 2nd December, that would be only 1 day. * There is no concept of dependant in naturalisation. Each applicant...

Yes, I did see this and hence posted my query but in vain. Hence called the home office on this regard. Upon their suggestion I have posted the comment.
If this is incorrect, please correct my understanding and in this scenario what steps can I take.
