1. If the agency is your employer, it will be responsible for your tax affairs (PAYE). However, you may still be required to submit an anuual return if you are a higher rate taxpayer (>£35,000).

2. The same treatment applies.
3. Search the web as new agencies are constantly coming to the market.

The clause allowing an increase of charges well above processing costs is incorporated in the new Asylum (treatment of claimants) bill. However the specific charges are left to future statutory instruments. There is no clue or discussion about the level of these charges. Yet, don't expect students t...

This is not a loophole. It is just a relaxation of the rules given to one who suffered a delay in his ILR application.

It is likely you will only able to apply after 9 years +11 months. Your loss of passport is not such a great issue if you are able to prove your stay here by other means (Uni docs, utility bill etc).

As you sound like a risk averse person, the best (and most secured) way is to be sent here via an Indian company as timefactor told you.

Long term residency is no longer a concession but a specific category under the rules. A continuous period of ten year residence is required. You can always apply outside the rules if there are very exceptional compelling reasons. I think the 7 year period that you mention was the period that indivi...

Scottish law is quite different to English (or Welsh) law. If you intend to work in England (or Wales) you had better take the course in an English university.

Almost three months delay in processing HSMP apps.

I bet they are making loads of money out of this HSMP gold rush so I guess criteria will not be toughened soon.

would recommend you to seek legal advice as you were in breach of your conditions of stay when: 1. You returned to the UK on your WP LTR after you ceased to be employed. 2. You worked for your new employer without a valid WP. The above breaches might surface when you apply for ILR. If you read throu...

Was your mother born or naturalised in the UK? If yes - you can register as a British citizen. If her citizenship was by descent you are not entitled.

Ancestry visas (through grandparents) are only for commonwealth nationals. USA is not a commonwealth county.

If not, I can tell you that the paralegal market which you are aiming at is so tough that no one will sponsor you for a WP.
