No, I dont think theres a restriction on the dependent to travel within certain number of days of getting visa. As I remember my dad got his visa and came here and then my mom came here almost after an year, and no problems at all. But, the case might be a bit different, as it was in those early da...

I created a petition to the Home office which has been published just now. Please sign it and circulate it to everybody who you know in the UK. We need to draw quite a lot of attention!!! Let us see how actively we can save our own rights. Remember to sign once for each of your dependents, if you a...

I don't think physical location should be a concern right now. We can all communicate via this board and if needed we can talk on phone or skype or even travel to London if needed (where i'm sure most of the 57 people who registered are based). Anything confidential can be communicated through the e...

As far as i'm aware, the fees will increase on 6 April - we will also probably get new application forms to download that reflect the new prices. Irritating thing is it went up in April 2012 AND Dec 2012... We don't really have a choice - we just have to pay  We might not have control over t...

The link to google doc need more visibility, so it would help if we post it (& its purpose) on FB, Twitter, other similar blogs/boards or whereever we can get more people to sign up. Another thing to point out is that this case might have implications on past applications as well, people who hav...

Keep checking, appointments for Cardiff specially are released throughout the day or so it looks. I have noticed they release multiple appointments at once. But the key is just keep looking whenever you can and you'll find it (i got mine at 10 am)..

Thanks for your great effort Ram, i think everyone here appreciate what you're doing! So what this is basically saying is Tier 1 migrants are their cash cows and are responsible to cover the deficit (that their colleagues have created and widened over the years). Why is it the responsibility of T1 migrants to provide such support? We are contributing our fair share in the form of tax...

Re: we should challenge it in court

we should challenge it in court..this is exploitation Unfortunately, we can't. Lets put this into a different perspective. T1 visa is for highly skilled migrants. 1500 pounds for an extension of two years is 750 pounds per year. If one cannot pay this in his/her stay, UKBA can challenge how can he/...

Not a big deal if you're on your own. ILR increase approximately 30% for a main applicant + depedant going PEO route. Dependant fees seem to have increase 58% and then there's the new £100 charge they brought in (which is good, but should have formed part of the fee). Claiming it's in line with inf...

If you have other a/c's you should use those to make up for the shortfall, i...
