Should I change the address after application (JCAP)?

Dear members, I applied for naturalization (JCAP) on 29 March. I still haven't received the decision. I will be moving house 01 Jul, so can someone please advise, 1) whether i should advise UKVI of my change in address or should i wait until I move? I am hesitant to advise them as incase i get the a...

Re: PBS Dependent applications questions

Thanks! Do you or anyone also happen to know the answer to point 1? ( We have paid the full fee for the PSC appointment plus health surcharge (GBP 2736) at the time of booking the appointment online, what should we fill in sections A2.7 - A2.14, which ask for the payment details? I am attaching the ...

PBS Dependent applications questions

Friends, My wife has an appointment for the PBS dependent visa later this month. While filling the form (Tier 1 or 5 PBS dependent) we came across some questions we need help with. 1) We have paid the full fee for the PSC appointment plus health surcharge (GBP 2736) at the time of booking the appoin...

Re: FLR (M) Or Tier 1 Dependent

Thanks. I did some research and found (as you said that rules do allow the extension of PBS Dependent): Change to the Immigration Rules: 9 July 2012 From 9 July 2012, dependent partners of PBS migrants must complete a five year probationary period before they qualify for ILR. If the PBS migrant obta...

Re: FLR (M) Or Tier 1 Dependent

Thanks a ton Char! So I guess its upto the applicant to chose between the two, right (atleast in my case)? Also, If we chose to go for PBS dependent route, would me (her sponser) being on ILR via Tier 1 be a problem? I mean technically she will still be a Tier 1 dependent, right? I don’t think it sh...

FLR (M) Or Tier 1 Dependent

Hi, I am hoping someone will help me understand the difference between the FLR (M) and the Tier 1 dependent requirements and applications? I am eternally confused as to which category I need to make application for my wife. I got my ILR last year in April on the basis of 5 years on Tier 1 Visa. Her ...

Re: FLR(M) question 2.2 and 2.3

Thanks. That was my initial guess as well, however I am confused by Casa's response above which states that choice B is appropriate for 2.3 in this case?

Re: FLR(M) question 2.2 and 2.3

Thank you casa, regarding question 2.3, you think answer (b) would be most suitable in this circumstance. It says b) Second period of leave to remain (following initial grant of leave to remain ). The first time she applied would that have been leave to enter ? And therefore this would be the 1st t...

FLR (M) English Language Requirement

Hi there, I have a question re FLR (M) English Language Requirement. After researching online i realised that if one has a degree in English they don't need to take an English language test. However, does that degree need to be assessed by UK NARIC for compatibility? I checked on points based calcul...

Yes, that's what my first thought was, but the email appears to be legit. Either way i have emailed their refund team to see whats it about.

Partial Refund of Fee after ILR

Hello, I recently had a successful ILR application at one of the Premium service centers. I havent got my BRP though. Today, i got an email mentioning that i have been refunded £400 (out of the £1493 paid). I am clueless as to why this has happened. Anyone had the same experience? Also, if someone c...

My application was in-country (means already in UK when applied initially), initial visa start date was 19 Apr'10. Current visa ends in Apr'16.

2 Questions on ILR

Hi, I am on tier 1 visa which has the first date of issue as 19 Apr'10. However the application date was 01 Apr'10. What is the earliest date I can apply for an ILR? Does visa extension date has any relevance to the ILR (extension valid until Apr'16). Secondly, since my wife only came to the UK last...

Is this something that you have seen in any of the documentation from the UKBA?
Tier 1 (G) is closed but the dependents are still allowed to apply and come over to the UK - that should give you a hint :)

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/284160/Public_funds_v12_0EXT.pdf See the link above, it clearly states that "The Department for Health has its own rules on whether people who are not ordinarily resident in the UK can receive free NHS treatment. NHS trea...

Given that the first grant and first extension is either 3+2 yrs (old rules) or 2+3 yrs(new rules), it doesn't seem fair, that the 2nd extension is 3 yrs for applicants under new rules, whereas, 2 years for applicants under old rules. Add to that, case workers are not consistent in their understand...

I think it depends on the understanding of the caseworker. There are instances where a person who qualified (and applied) based on points before the Apr 2010 criteria but eventually got the visa at a later date in April, they have granted the extension for 3 years instead of 2 despite the initial vi...

There's a thread on this topic basically covering all aspects of the dependent application, its very detailed: http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=62853 In short, there's a whole range of evidence you can produce to support your application, eg. Skype chat logs, tenancy agreement (which...

I think since you have already mentioned your details as the main applicant in the first part of section 6, in the second part it will be the dependent who'll have to respond re employment, income etc.

Thanks, but its really confusing :? Section 6 Main Applicant Employment Details asks for sponsors job details (78-83), then in the section below (which is also section 6), it asks for this info again (are you employed, company you work for, monthly income, savings, etc; points 84-98; dont understand...
