If a person applies again, wont they refer to the original application and look at reasons for refusal...

Kaya,

Agree with you 100%. Just the one month wait for the letter doesnt make any sense at all. A week 10 days is understandable for any part of the world. Red tape I guess.

Ta Chess. Cant stop wondering what the problem is for verdict to be given on the phone. Okay if the decision is expected to be received in days but a month by post ???? just beats common sense... Hope our friends on HSMP are listening!

NM, 1. Yes, it starts from the day you enter the country 2. There is no defined rule of split for the first 3 years. Only the days in the last year prior to BC is defined. In your particular case, dont worry if you were abroad due to official work as long as you were earning in the UK and paying UK ...

Thanks for sharing your experience. Email/Fax may not be the most secure way of intimating the outcome, but I wonder why they cant tell over the phone. I dont think there is any policy that stops them. I got my result over the phone and I am sure Joseph is one other member I am certain got his decis...

You cannot assume your own exchange rate. Use an independent source like a news paper or a website. You could state them the website used. www.oanda.com if it is any good to you. Else use any other you know. On your second question, you do not have to apply for an HSMP again, you only need to apply ...

Nationone, Just to bring to your attention. Someone I know travelled to UK first leaving behind his spouse and kids. When they arrived later at Heathrow, the Immigration officer demanded to see a photocopy of the HSMP holders passport (relevant page + HSMP letter). She hadnt taken a copy. They gave ...

These were not at the graduate level, so would they qualify for the noted works points section (which does mention printed works and scholarships)? You wouldnt know unless you tried. I suggest you claim all th...

Melyn,

Acceptance letter is a one pager. I got my originals along with the letter. So it was a bulky pack. These days I am told the originals are posted in advance.

The anxiety is obvious but wouldnt worry much.

Admin, I think over a period of time, as people get used to it there shouldn't be a problem......but since you asked here is my suggestion. Compared with the previous home page, which only had 5 links to the various country immigration forums, this one has many. Probably you could just have main lin...
