avoiding British by descent

Hi,

I'm a British other than by descent and my wife has been granted ILR a year ago. My son was born in India in April 2010.
I wanted my son to be a british other than by descent. Can I? If so what would be the best way of doing it? Please advice.

Right of Abode

Hi,

My son was born in India in April 2010. He is a british by descent, we have opted to apply an Indian passport for him. Can I apply a Right of Abode for him with an Indian passport in India? Please advice.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I red in one of the post saying that applying a British Citizenship by descent will effect future generation (i.e they can't pass their BC to their next generation). If so what is the best way of avoiding those disadvatages.

Please advice.
