Thanks everyone: RE seeking job whilst my passport remains with the UKBA. My existing LTR expires in over two years time. So, I'm not worried about that. The main concern is whether or not prospective employers would take me up without sighting my visas. Unfortunately, while I do have the UKBA lette...

Although I've congratulated Cardi on this forum, my gut instinct continues to tell me he might be HO or UKBA staff wanting to pacify people on this site. Either way, it's incredibly a rapid response ILR approval!

Axing the Long Residence (10-Years) Category for ILR

I do have a worry that if labour fails to win this election, immigration rules might change, and the 10 year Long Residence as a basis for obtaining ILR might change, and anyone caught in the middle may not be granted the ILR. Am I just fretting needlessly, or there are good reasons to fret on this...

Hello to everyone on this forum. I need to apply for ILR in the UK on the basis of Long Residence (10 years of unbroken, lawful residence). In November 2005, I was charged with driving without insurance (a friend bought a brand new car, and I gave it a ride on our way back from work, police stopped ...
