PS: Just read about people on the other forums who applied in Jan 2010 and were refused. Totally confused as to how UKBA are processing applications. so, only successful applications are get delayed ?????????????? No clue! Do you reckon they have like an initial screening system where they review a...

I have seen people talking about calling this sheffield number: 01142072966 However, when I try to call it, it is always busy. Has anyone tried it? That's the number of the Complaints department at Sheffield. I've tried a few times, but like you, have never been able to get through. PS: Just read a...

Update to my previous post: According to info from some other forums, it would appear that at least two people who applied in September 2009 under 10 year ILR have already received their visas - they do not appear to have been special cases (ex premium etc. like Oluwa) either. So I guess this blows ...

Re: all cases to be opened from 1st april 2010

Dear all of you waiting for 10 years long residence : I have heard this news why no one has heard from the 10 years legal cases. People who have applied after 1st of august 2009 will start their cases to be opened from 1st of april 2010 . It is said that there were so many cases pending cases of il...

You have been the one attacking everybody in this thread from the outset, not me, starting with Wanderer, terriblefish and then me. Nobody's vision or attitude is constructive enough for you. Well... tough! Again! Do take your time writing your reply (you do appear to have loads of it to spare) but ...

You have come here with a bullish attitude ever since you've joined and pretend you're the messiah that will solve the ILR issue. If you h...

I can't speak for others but please exclude me from this 'we' as I don't share your sentiments (i.e. there is nothing that can be done).... TBH, I don't think UKBA is remotely inclined to defend itself, whether here or in any other forum. The bottom line is they simply do not give a rat's a*se. They know they've got our money, there is pretty much nothing we can do and frankly it does not appear that it's any of their concern that they ...

I fully agree with Dolf. The requisites for the 10 year ILR mean that it is actually a much simpler application than would appear from the outset. In the days of premium applications and indeed for postal applications, all that they were required to verify were that there were no gaps in stays, visa...

Looks like we're not the only ones in this hole. Virtually nobody who's applied under long residence appears to be getting a decision. It is quite possible this whole farce may well end up taking a year or more to be decided.

Re: Here I AM

If you want to prepare a good case for complaint and send it to your local MP, Home Secretary etc (which you will do to get the attention it deserves), you will need to collate more statistics and additional information - what do these applicants have in common apart from applying under the long te...

Here is the updated tracklist. Chaps, when you repost this, can you please update the wait times for the previous candidates as well so we can track at a glance. Otherwise, the numbers are not in any order, not that ordering them makes it any less wearisome to look at :( - I've also rounded the week...

So I wonder UKBA has a different set of rules or processing time (may be a different team) for ILR under 10 year rule. I think the 10 year ILRs are handled by the same people who deal with asylum applications; which is probably part of the reason WP ILRs wait on average 10-15 weeks and 10 year sett...

Wouldn't you be required to show proof of funds at the time of applying? Seeing as you're unable to repay the monies you owe in the UK, I take it that may be an issue in itself? I don't think UK consular services abroad do credit checks - however, I would expect that there may be questions arising a...

Well, in the previous situation, I believe you were waiting for an extension to your student visa (or possibly the issuance of a new one), so it would make sense that he would ask to see what you were doing. Essentially, if you were asking for an extension, that would imply your studies were not don...

1) No. The number of days spent outside the UK are included in the 10 years. 2) No. The clock isn't reset. Either you're approved or not. 3) They've been scrapped. 4) Yes and yes. 5) Documents list are stated on the form. Just be truthful, there is nothing to be careful about other than getting your...

I think being in the queue is the stage you're at permanently over the 6 months+. The last stage and the point at which you should get hopeful is when they give you the reply that your application has been assigned to a caseworker and is therefore being treated. At that point, depending on complexit...

Your existing leave is valid while your application is being decided (at least 7 months or more by current standards). If you have finished the course for which you were given the student visa, I believe you may be able to study on your own while your case is being decided since your student visa st...
