Highly unlikely as you will be 20 days over.

Like Vinny said, it's a big risk to take especially after waiting so long. Get the application in now, although be prepared to wait around 7-8 months going by current wait times.

Re: Kamalin10's comment about the HR paperwork, it appears that he is already in possession of such a document as you say he has finalised all his papers? Either way, given that he will still be in employment when he makes his application, I don't think there is any deception unless the HO explicitl...

Hi Lotus, Your solution is rather simple. Assuming that your husband intends to accept the redundancy (i.e. not take his employer to court etc), he will more likely be asked to sign a compromise agreement. What he needs to make certain is that he asks for his 28-day period to be classified as being ...

Just to add the official guideline to this thread too. UKBA professes that they undertake to process 95% of all applications within 26 weeks. What they probably mean is 95% of applications will require more than 26 weeks. This would be more in line with the tracking data we have here and the experie...

Some slight discrepancies in the last tracklist for 10-year ILRs, just updating it here: ILRs OBTAINED: Rajj applied on 15/07/09 and got it on 17/12/09 WAITED FOR 22.1 weeks Haha applied on 24/07/09 and got it on 25/11/09 WAITED FOR 17.7 weeks Oluwa112 applied 10/08/08 and got it on 17/02/10: WAITED...

Some relevant reading here regarding UKBA targets.

I believe this is the same caseworking unit that deals with the 10 year ILRs. I guess the £820 fee isn't enough to justify a separate unit to process those applications.

Just going by the sample in this thread for the 10 year ILRs (granted it's not a big sample and may not be statistically relevant), surely UKBA can no longer proclaim 95% of applications within 6 months anymore. This is a joke.

Solving all these waiting times should be fairly simple. New guidelines should be issued by Govt. that payment for the application should ONLY be taken once the application passes to a caseworker and will be given due consideration such that a decision can be taken. At the moment what is very likely...

That is one rather enlightening post. Unfortunately not all MPs appear to have that clout when it comes to UKBA. Some interesting articles about beloved in UKBA asylum processing centres in the press today. Granted different centre than Sheffield but let's hope the pattern isn't nationwide. From wha...

have you contacted your MP? Not yet. It appears that 6 months has now become the standard time to wait for this? I'll give it 3 more weeks and then will probably try and get things rolling. Not sure calling them helps either - paying for the national rate line to hear a robot read off a screen is a...
