team,
thank you for the responses

per dilber reply, i will not be able to work for previous employer after CoS is issued by new employer, but what if, at that time, i am still serving my notice period with prev employer?

can anyone comment on this catch 22 situation?

just to double check

when you said the tier2 application is refused, do you mean the CoS application by your prospective employer?

or do you mean after you get CoS, you go apply for leave to remain and got refused?

perhaps you can have your HR write a note to you confirming that you will still maintain similar details of your employment status despite being in charge of "different brands" from time to time (are you, by any chance, a freelance assassin or contract killer?) if they turn out to be wrong...

Re: Need to get biometrics done again when switching visa

I entered the UK on a Tier 5 (YMS) visa which expires in March and am returning to Australia shortly to apply for entry clearance under Tier 2 (G) as my employer has now issued a CoS for me. I had my biometrics taken for the YMS visa. Will I need to attend an biometrics appointment and have them ta...

Re: switching from work permit to tier 1 general

Hello All, I am not sure whether this question is repetitive. I got my work permit (WP) on Sept'08 (before they introduced tier system) I have been in UK continuously since Jan'09. I have calculated my points under the new system that is going to be implemented this coming 6th April 2010, and I wil...

Hi, I am planning to switch from Tier 2 to Tier 1, hence initial application. Can I show my earnings for the last 12 months from my current sponsored employer + 1 month earning working for company back home (within that 12 months)(using multiplier) while I was in holidays. Thanks, I also have simil...

Re: Transfer of Tier-2 (Intra-company transfer)

If I am on Tier-2 (Intra-company transfer) in the UK, can I look for another job and get the Tier-2 transferred ? Or do I need to apply for Tier-1 before I can resign from current company and join the new company. Also do I have return to my home country, and then apply as my Tier-2 will be invalid...
