Alternatively an electronic bank statement bearing the official stamp of the bank in question will be accepted. This stamp should appear on every page of the statement. Hi, Does anyone know whether 5 points are awarded for £25,000 or higher previous earnings in the UK and another 5 points for qualification obtained in the UK? Or is it just one? I am confused because the NEW POINTS TABLE published on 18th March doesn't differentiate between the two or say "or...

I thought extension applications were not affected? or do you refer to a 2nd extension? Sorry my bad. Extensions for current visas under the current or past Tier 1/HSMP rules fall under the transitional arrangements according to the new statement of policy. My post was giving a opinion more than be...

Re: Previous earnings period

Yes you can. It is any salary/bonus earned during a consecutive 12 month period in the last 15 months. It doesn't matter how many salary payments you received or how many bonus payments you received - provided they all fall in that 12 month period you are claiming upon. Cool. Thanks! That means I c...

With new rules in place, share your opinion if no. of applicants for Tier 1 will increase or decrease? I believe it will increase temporarily for first few months, but overall will decrease over a period of time. Depends on the country I think and the multipliers applied to that country. For exampl...

How much time will be given for intial entry after approval? Are there any particular rules about it? No specified time, can enter whenever, provided it isn't past visa expiry. On Tier 1, if you eventually wish to apply for ILR, you need to be in within 28 days, else you will have to apply for addi...

Re: Any idea about new salary multiplier/uplit ratio ?

One of the Major recommendation from MAC was salary multiplier. so there is definately changes to it on the cards and will know on 6th April As above. Multipliers are to stay the same until further notice. No indication of when these updated multipliers will be applied, but it isn't going to be Apr...

Re: Any idea about new salary multiplier/uplit ratio ?

When will be new salary multiplier/uplit ratio announded? There will be changes, but the changes will not be implemented on April 6th. Old multipliers are kept until further notice. Read the statement of policy carefully, and you will see that multipliers are not to be changed until after april 6th...

Hi! Though this is not related to Tier 1 visa directly, but I am very confused and hence putting it here. The background is that I have a valid Tier1 which I got in Feb 2010. I have not travelled to UK as I was planning to come to UK for 2-3 months after resigning from my job. After informing my co...

Unless stock market earnings is your primary form of earnings. If it is, I suppose you would use the documentation similar to that of a sel...

Consensus is that the new forms should be out about a week before 6th april. Since 1st april to 5th april are holidays (Easter), shall we expect the new forms (along with complete guidance) to be released early next week? I know the consensus here says that the new forms and guidance will be out a ...

Previous Earnings: payment & payslip dates different

Hi there, I'm wanting to check this is okay or if anyone else has come across this. I am using my payslips and bank statements as evidence for my previous earnings. I've noticed, however, that the payslip is always dated on the last day of the month, whereas the actual day my employer direct credits...

Re: your approach is right

To point to the relevant sections of my documents I used 3M Post-It arrow flags. I also used normal post-its to scribble notes on documents wherever required. I was not comfortable with directly highlighting or writing on the documents. 3M Post-It arrow flags - http://www.3m.com/us/office/postit/pr...
