Does it mean my application is in a queue waiting for a caseworker or is it under process? It means nothing. It me...

P LEASE ADVISE . I'am still awaiting my ILR decision, which means I do not have my passport with me. However, as I'm completing my PhD this September and desperately need a job, am concerned employers would hesitate giving me a job without sighting the visa which allows me to live and work in the U...

You can either take hope in what I'm about to say or dismiss it. It appears that the UKBA have started processing my application. As some of you know I applied under the long term basis in mid-January. It is my 5 month anniversary this week. So it could be my news is an indicator to other January ap...

Hi Kiwigirl25, As in life you have to take the good with the bad and I would like to think that the support you have received in this forum far outweighs your regrets. Some choices are hard to make and sometimes you do not have a choice and some immigration issues leave me in anger at deception use...

I tried doing that, but my uni admin told me they cannot discuss any communications made between them and the UKBA; even though I tried to explain I didn't care about the content of their conversation. So annoying! I'm lost for words. :? I think it could potentially be because those with work permi...

To the 10 year students that are still waiting: It seems to me that UKBA contact the universities and colleges you attend to gain clarification of your status. So have any of you who are still waiting made contact with the uni admin office to see if UKBA have contacted them? There is a possibility t...

I called the UKBA and they confirmed that 6 months is 24 weeks. So Ill see what happens within the next three weeks. I am going to start writing letters to them because making phone calls is probably a waste of time. Do you know when parliament breaks up for the summer? Yes, I do... but only becaus...

Biege!! Hope you don't mind me asking but you're 3 weeks away from your 6 month anniversary. Are you planning to complain at that stage? Yes!! I have every intention of doing so. I don't think its fair to make anyone wait past the 6 month period for a straightforward application. I'm not sure what ...

Were they passport photos?

If it was passport photos they asked for then this is mandatory for any application as they need one for the ILR "visa" and one for their records.

I would take it along with you. Best to have too much documentation than too little. There is a strong possibility they might not ask for it but what if they do and you don't have it?

But don't waste time getting it translated, just have to hand.
