You've over-reacted to my reply. I stated while I don't agree with your action I am NOT ONE to judge you. Life deals us many savage blows and unfortunately you've reached one of these moments in life. I understand that you are scared but please do not take it out on others. You've asked for help on ...

I don't know if you read my emails carefully but I already handed in my birth certificate on 7 occasions PREVIOUSLY and nothing happened to me. First time was in 2001, so why would they come after me now?! As I said previously the HO guidelines suggest that they must pursue only cases which they ar...

I applied under the 14 year rule. One of the first things my solicitor asked me was "have you been served with any notices from the Home Office?". If my answer had been yes they would considered not taking my case as this would severely go against me. Once you are served notice the clock s...

Kiwigirl25, Nobody on here has a monopoly on injustice or immigration related hardships. We are all united in our collective objective - to settlement. The undertone of what you say is quite dark "... people with no ancestoral links what-so-ever waltz in?". I am not here to dwell on that ...

oldno7: You're playing with fire making comments such as your last paragraph. Do you want me to rant about being a British descendant with Grandfathers and Great Grandfathers fighting for Britain in both World Wars, but I have fight to remain in this country whilst people with no ancestoral links wh...

Hi oldno7 You've made some good points. However: UKBA will not respond to queries after 14 weeks. If you contact them you will get a scripted response of "your application has not yet been processed". I defy you to find someone who has queried their application after 14 weeks and has recei...

I'm afraid it's looking like bad news. They usually take payment out within 2 weeks of receiving the application. Have you received the acknowledgement letter? Expect your wife's application to be returned with a covering letter stating they were unable to claim payment. Resubmit it with a cheque or...

Your solicitor should be able to assist with your queries and be able to complain on your behalf if they deem it necessary. However your solicitor may advise against it as the published target for ILRs is 6 months. It's a positive that they have chased your letter as it means they are actively proce...

Thanks Terlen, I'll definitely do that next week. But God knows what the hell is the problem with UKBA, people have to travel and do some other things in their life as well but they just make your life completely stagnant . Just because of that much delay my existing employer has halted my Job unti...

Hi I can't fully answer your query but hopefully a more experienced poster will pick this up. Order your SAR file as this will have your immigration history on it. That way you can see if UKBA have recorded all your comings and goings out of the country. Have you still got a copy of the police repor...

The way to stop these trolls is not to post "any news" messages. They only ever appear to response to these. Read back you will see a pattern. Any news? Next post is someone with a quick response. Let's assume no news equals no news. I'm sure that the regular genuine posters will be quick ...

I think the trick is not to add your name to the list. People with the quick responses aren't on the list until they came here to share their surprise of receiving their ILR.

People who have been waiting soooooooooooooo long have been on the list since they applied.

That's today's theory...

This thread was originally created for ALL 10 year applicants to share their experiences. It was split from the HSMP/Work Permit thread in early 2010. I think to make it solely for 10 students would be unfair as there are many non or ex-students that visit. I agree with the users of this thread who ...

If you search this board and the UKBA you will find out how to do this. Phone the UKBA helpline first thing Monday morning as soon as it op...
