Currently they are considering applications that were received on or before 24th January 2010, so the waiting period now seems to be from four to five weeks. I'm in the same boat. :( I've received my acknowledgment letter, but my employer is convinced that I would be working illegally if I continued after my visa 'expired' despite all the info I showed them from the home office! :(

I think it is really important to sort out how you will be able to show your funds to the HO in advance before you actually hit the three month mark.
