Settlement query

What if I, EEA national, were to travel with my now FP denied husband to the UK. 1. Will they let him in, even though his FP was refused? 2. Once I get registered as a job seeker, does that mean that I have now become settled? 3. If #3 is correct, will he be able to change his status from visitor to...

For instance, "intended date of leaving the UK" - if you are applying to live with your EEA spouse permanently in the UK, how can you enter this date? Yet not completing this box is not an option as you cannot move to the next page without doing so. The way I see it is: A person must appl...

VAF5 Application queries

Hello there...again :!: I am finally applying for the FP, but I have 1-question though. What should I enter under "Reason for your visit"? I am planning on putting that I'll be there for 75 days, even though as soon as my EEA wife starts work or gets registered as a job seeker, I will be a...

Biometrics locations in Chicago

After sending the online application. Do I need to request an appointment for my husband's biometrics? My plan is to go Wednesday, June 1st, to get my Italian passport, since I have an appointment, with my passport number in hand filling out the VAF5 application, and since we would already be in Chi...

Thank you Jrge. I got this information from the UKBA website. EUN2.2 Where can an EEA family permit be issued? EEA family permits may be obtained from any visa issuing post. It is not necessary for an applicant to be lawfully or normally resident in the country to apply. Now, should I omit this ques...

Family permit and order of removal

I was just wondering if anyone know if the UKBA can deny a family permit application (VAF5) based upon an order of removal from the US, when applying from the US.
Just curious.

Thank you.

Is the applicant's employment in the country of residence a requirement?
My husband's company closed 3 weeks ago, due to the economy. He is now actively helping me with my second job which I do from home- health insurance billing.

Thank you

I don't understand.
If my husband obtains his biometric passport (he has an appointment 4/20), he then does not need to apply for a VAF5?
We are all traveling together to the UK for the first time and I want to make sure that he will be able to work without any troubles.

Thank you for your comment.

I was looking at the residence card application instead of the VAF5 form.
I apologize for that confusion.
Apparently I am only allowed to apply online in the USA, I will let you know how that goes.

a- If I must mail it directly to London, am I allowed to mail it as priority or express?

or

2- To the British consulate in the USA?

Thank you again

86, Just a few more concerns, 1-In order for my husband to apply for the residence card, will he have to show PROOF of my employment? 2- Will he be allowed to work with a EEA FP or that is just for clearance purposes only? 3- When demonstrating his relationship to me in form VAF5, what else can we ...

EEA national and Non-EEA national spouse moving to the UK

In principle, your husband needs an EEA family permit to enter the UK even if he does not require a visa as visitor. However, EEA law is such that in company of the EEA national or joining the EEA national at a later date, immigration officers can not simply refuse entry if the relationship can be ...
