yes i collected it on wednesday evening at 4 pm

i aplied at croydon office ( in person) on tuesday but due to strike i coudnt get my passport back so got it on wednesday evening
i was on work permit and changed it to tier 1

i had submitted my application on tuesday(in person) when there was a strike but they dealt with all the applications on wednesday itself as soon as the strike ended.
