Confused : if wife can apply for naturalisation with husband

Hi, This is the query on behalf of my brother who is living in UK from last 6 years and got ILR for more than 1 year.. so he is definitely eligible for naturalisation. However, his spouse is on dependent visa from last 3.5 years (including 14 months on ILR). Can they both apply together for naturali...

Hi,

Just want to check can I submit the Indian passport surrender application in visa application center on somebody else behalf and is there any specific authorisation letter required from that person?

Thanks

Finally got the documents back yestarday 1st June i.e. after two weeks of applying in Croydon PEO... so it isn't that bad for me. Biometric should arrive soon. Documents were posted using 2nd class recorded delivery. Well word "recorded" just seems useless as you cannot track the item unti...

No sure if they use special delivery. I just called the UKBA call center (option 2 for return of documents) and they told me 2nd class normal (not even recorded) delivery is used to send these documents unless we have provided self addressed special delivery envelop. Ofcourse when someone apply in p...

Sadly.. there is no way to enquire about application status

I submitted application in person in Croydon PEO on 21st May and they said due to technical glitch, I'll be receiving visa in 2 days but even after 4 days, there is no response from them. I tried to call the enquiry office and they said there is no way to check the status of ILR application and it c...

I am not ready to pay for their mistakes. Surely t...

Do you think waiting area in PEO Croydon is comfortable enough to take 6 months old baby or is it uncomfortably crowded?

Are visitors (partner and kid) allowed in PEO (Croydon)

Hi, Just a question from guys who have been to Croydon office recently. I would be applying for ILR in Croydon office personally. Just wanted to check if visitors (specifically partner and 6 months old baby) allowed to come with me in the office if they are not applying with me as they have got UK c...

well... my friend who applied for ILR was also confused which date to use and what I advised was that if using 1st may (in your case) would keep you figures below allowed threashold limit for holidays, then use it. Otherwise if you are going over the threashold and using 2nd may will bring it below ...

Hi, I am applying under 5 years completion rule and currently on Tier 1 Migrant visa. Have you already applied for ILR without providing point based calculator printout and is your application successful? If you look at Question A6 on page 18 of set(O) form, it says following: - "A6. You should...

yes.. you need to get it attested from accountant just like salary slips.. Though it is not mandatory to show the gross dividend but if you can display that figure, it would be good and less confusing for case worker... If you can show the gross figure, I would suggest you to add a explainatory note...

which point based calculator to use?

Hi, I am applying for ILR in 2 weeks time and need to submit the self assessed points based calculation. Looking at the calculator available at ukba website, there is no option for ILR... all options are for Tier 1/2/3 visas. If I choose Tier 1 Migrant as an option (though I am applying for ILR afte...

can I show maternity pay as source of income

Hi, I know I can ignore the SMP (statutory maternity pay) period while calculating GROSS? salary earned in 12 months but even if I include my maternity pay period, I have still earned enough money in form of dividend and SMP + salary from my own limited company to secure qualifying points. So can I ...

confused with the points to claim for age

Hi, I am applying for ILR and I am little confused with the points to claim for age. When I originally applied for HSMP in 2007, I was of 26yrs age. After two years, in 2009, I applied for HSMP extension under new name Tier 1 (Migrant). At that time I was 28 years. And now while applying for ILR, I ...

Hi, I am applying for ILR in person in the Croydon office and little confused about how or where to write my changed name on the form. My name is changed after marriage and now I have a middle name as well. My current passport and existing tier 1 visa still shows my previous name. I have already got...

Thanks for your response.

In this case, could she not apply for ILR by switching category from Tier 1 Migrant based on British spouse and then immediately apply for BC.

If possible, she may not have to wait for another 8 months to get ILR?
