point 3 and 4 is where there is no clarity on the rules.

There will be many people in that category as previous rules did not have any such condition.

If the UKBA starts refusing people on that basis, the lawyers will be making a lot of money.

tier 1 absences - confusing statements ?

Hi all, I have been reading all the posts on this forum, and have come across contradictory posts from different people. Can someone please confirm and if possible with official link regarding below - 1. Does a Tier 1 General applicant for ILR whose leaves do not exceed 180 in last 5 years and does ...

Thanks So should I say from Feb 2008 (date FLR for WP was approved) OR 4 years 11 months and X days Also, this means in reality I would have stayed longer in UK - due to a year being on student visa, but for the application purpose I count only the time from WP approval - excluding time on student a...

Thanks Spidery_thread.

Can someone confirm please, as I am using the date from FLR for my ILR period and also counting the holidays from that date.

My friends, who were in a similar situation had also counted the period from WP stamping.

However this is a new question and hence not sure.

Anyone ?

New form - new question - confused

All, I am applying for ILR in few weeks and have been looking at the new SET O form released on the 13th. It has two new questions 7.11. How long have you lived in the UK? 7.12. Please state what ties you have with ? Now with regard to 7.11 - I was on a Student visa, then on WP (old format) but didn...

Thanks. Well then this is exactly what I was asking. As per the question asked it says "applying under". Evidence of all work-related absences (including paid annual leave) is required from those applying under Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer);Tier 2 (General); Tier 2 (Minister of religion)...

Thanks for your reply. Well the other person may have leaves exceeding 90 or 180 days. My query is more if someone is easily within the limits of the holiday's does he still need a proof for the leaves for the time he is on WP. If yes, can you provide an official link etc as that would be helpful. O...

Ok...can someone answer a quick question please - I am applying for ILR in few weeks and I am safely within the 90 day rule and the 180 day rule. However I was initially on WP (old rule) and then on T1G. I had absences from the UK when I was on WP. Do I still need any documentation from my old emplo...

Thanks for your reply. For the WP, I got the WP approval first and then got the FLR after 3 months. All of my applications have been incountry. I assume that it is the date I got FLR that I should count fro and not the date I got the WP approval. Can you confirm ? This is the old work permit and not...

sushdmehta,

Thanks for your reply.

We have been married for two years but she has stayed with me at the same address for 1.5 years. For the 0.5years she was in the UK and visited me on weekends.

I have email copies of the train booking confirmations of travel.

Is that sufficient ?

Thanks. She was on a student visa for the first year and on dependent visa for the second year.
