Eborders and dual nationality

Hello all. There was an article in The Telegraph a while back about how under e-borders, dual nationals should exit and enter the UK on the same passport - otherwise they may face problems coming back to the UK on their next trip. Given that some dual nationals (like those with US passports) must en...

Have applied for a passport. The interview letter has been sent - is it ok to call the IPS helpline to arrange an interview before I receive the letter? Need to travel end of next week and am trying to expedite the timing. Thank you in advance.

Informing govt delta after acquiring British citizenship

Hello. Does anyone know which government/organisations departments need to be informed after naturalisation?

I am thinking HMRC, DVLA, registrar of electors... Anyone else?

Thank you in advance

UKBA envelope

Hi all

I was wondering if letters from the UKBA re: citizenship applications will come in an unmarked envelope or will it be obvious that it's from the UKBA (e.g. because there will be a logo or some sort of stamp on the envelope)?

Thank you in advance.

Dear imur69er

Congrats on your ILR! Can I just confirm that the home office's letter asking you to "cover" your 5 months absence and re-apply in Dec 09 was dated July 09? If you qualified in March 09, five months later should be Aug 09, no?

Thank you and kind regards.

More than 90 days absence on a single business trip

Hello there. I wonder if anyone has any advice on whether my ILR based on work permit+Tier 1 application will be rejected? I was sent to an overseas office of my employer to "firefight" as they could not cope with the workload for just over four months (came back to the UK after 101 days a...
