I was told at the Leeds office that all the paperwork was being sent to the regional office that afternoon by special courier and that it wouldn't delay the processing at all!

Have you been able to check your post today yet? I'm not home until the evening, so have no idea if it has come today.

Hi gm21 - As far as I know, they only take pictures when the computer system is down. They do this, so they can send the photo off for it to be checked against the one you supplied, since they can't access it on their monitors. They will use the one you supplied yourself, as the polaroid photos they...

Hi roza! When you had your interview on the 25th, was the computer system down? If it was, they would have taken a photo of you and written down your answers as well as had you sign the form itself.

Thanks!

I also had my interview on the 25th (in Leeds) and the system was down there too. I still haven't received my passport.

Has anyone who was interviewed on the 25th received theirs?

It's very annoying that people who were interviewed on Friday have already received theirs...

Thanks for the reply - the woman did specifically warn against travel until the HO had received the application..... don't think that is the same.

Physically Present in UK rule?

Hello! My partner and I submitted our applications for citizenship using the NCS in York on Wednesday morning. The woman mentioned something about having to be present in the UK when the Home Office receives the application. Is this correct? I need to fly to Dublin this Wednesday morning, but the Ho...

German ID card lost in UKBA Liverpool office

Hello! I successfully applied for an EEA4 permanent residency visa/card. All of the documents were sent back to me, except my German partner's national ID card. He has contacted the office in Liverpool, but after 2 weeks, they have not been able to find it, but will not declare it lost. Does anyone ...

Hi Jules, thanks for the extremely thorough reply. I know exactly what I need to do now. Hopefully they will have got their act together by the time I need to send in my EEA4 form next year!

Non EEA Family Member Citizenship

Hello, I am confused by the difference between Permanent Residence gained by the EEA4 application and ILR gained by the SET(M) application. I am a USA citizen and the civil partner of a German citizen, living together in the UK. I currently have a stamp in my passport granting me residency for 5 yea...
