My passport was dropped through the letterbox and waiting for me when I got home from work. It didn't have any barcode or anything that indicated it was delivered by courier so I really don't know who delivered it. I was pleased I didn't have to be home to sign for it, as like many people I'm not at...

However, the employer has refused to stamp the electronic payslips they provide. I think she has been with the...

Success at Croydon PEO 24/02/2012

Firstly thanks to this amazing discussion board. The information within is absolutely amazing and better than what an expert legal service provided. I applied for ILR today at Croydon PEO. I have been on Tier 1 (General) for two years, and WP before that. Here's how it panned out. 1. Appointment at ...

I've been reading about absences and the rules on this board for some time. It certainly seems to be one of the requirements causing most angst for applicants. I too have a question. I know that days outside the UK for business travel or holidays consistent with paid leave are not normally included ...

ILR Application in 3 weeks

The date is nearly here! PEO appointment in Sheffield in 3 weeks. This board and its members have provided a wealth of information that has been extremely useful. I did also consult a specialist immigration lawyer, but honestly, I learnt no new information from her that this board didn't already pro...

I think you may have more pressing issues to deal with than ILR. My understanding is that if you are resident in the UK for more than 6 months, then you become resident for tax purposes, and you should have been paying tax in the UK, not in the country of income origin. I'd speak to a solicitor as s...

Question for the experts - WP->T1G->ILR

I think I have a complicated 5 years. I was here on a work permit in year 1. The "employer" was a government department for which my company (based outside the EU) had a services contract with. I was still employed and paid by that company, and NOT the UK Gov dept, even though it was the g...

Economically Active at time of application?

Experts. At the time of application for ILR (currently Tier 1 General), do I actually need to be employed, or is it sufficient to have satisfied the earnings requirements for 12 of the previous 15 months? There's a chance I will be made redundant a few months before I am eligible to apply, but I wil...

Re: Application Successful!

Thankyou to everyone on this board for answering my questions and for the wealth of information contained therein. I applied in person for Tier 1 (with 1 dependent) at the PEO Sheffield yesterday, and I'm the proud owner of a shiny new sticker in my passport. I arrived at 8.30, cleared security, go...

If they are of standard format, and not printouts then you dont need to get them stamped as already suggested above by Chetan and Ramesh.
Everything was fine on the day with my payslips, which I did not get stamped or signed. Thanks again.

Applying in Person

When applying in person, if the officer doesn't understand something in the application, will they typically ask the applicant for clarification there and then? Or is what you submit all they will consider. Also, if, for example, you claim 35 points for past earnings, but then one month of income is...

P60 Query

How does UKBA treat P60s? My salary is paid monthly for the period 1st to the last of each month. But the P60 refers to year ending 5th April? If I have this in conjunction with income earnt from 1st April 2009 to 31 March 2010, and those figures are exactly what is on the P60, is this acceptable? T...

Tier 1 Dependent Visa Advice
