Joint account with spouse is only accepted. It is clerly mentioned somewhere on the UKBA homeoffice website. I will try to find out. But, I am pretty sure that they only accept joint account with spouse.

I m on tier-1 dependant since september 2008. I have got the job without much hassle. Basically you don't have to mention that you are on dependant visa. Just state that you are here on tier-1.

Yes I did.

I was here on work permit dependant visa.

They never ask to submit work permit document. All they need is that you have correct documents and you have paid your taxes properly which they will get to know from your NI number.
