68 people have now registered on the form, but quite a few have given fake contact details, this defeats the purpose of registering (which is to establish a contact group). Hi Ganesh, I am speaking to the executive committee of 'HSMP Forum' who are evaluating the issue. If they are convinced that we...

I don't think it is unlawful to accept a longer extension, although you can have it corrected if you want.

It is better to be conservative about the dates and calculate your 28 days from your last visa expiry.

Yes for the 2nd extension onwards, it is odd that some may get 3 year extensions while others get two.

What is your first question? 2. Yes 3. Doubtful, some people have said that continuous period of absence above 90 days will reset the clock. Some have said it might not cause problem. If you apply for ILR in person, I believe you will not be paying fees unless you qualify for ILR. So try this option...

What is mentioned on UKBA website is not necessarily law. It is necessary to see what the immigration rules say, because that is the law.

Immigration rules clearly say that if you were granted visa as per the rule applicable on 6th April 2010 or later, extension will be for 3 years.

Call DX and tell them you missed to receive the delivery, and that you want it to be re-delivered.

Are they saying that you were eligible to receive the original delivery, but because you have missed it first time, you need a permission from HO to arrange for re-delivery?

Sounds odd!

Did you not have a photocopy/scan of the completed application form before you sent it? Did they return the complete application that you sent, and is the payment form that they have returned blank? As long as you apply within 28 days of the expiry of your existing visa, you might not have a problem...

While one can never predict what objections they may raise, the fact that it was signed and stamped by the bank staff may mean that it might not normally pose a problem. If you are very concerned, why not ask the bank to write down your full account number on the printed statement and authenticate t...

Unfortunately, I think you will need to go for a 2nd extension. However, since you can apply for ILR 28 days before 15-Nov-2014, you will probably be able to send in a postal application on the last day or so and expect that they will process it within the 28 day window, thereby saving you thousands...

You have to supply atleast 2 different sources of proof for each type of income, it would be better if the sources are external. This means an accountant's certifying your income would be treated as more reliable than a document signed by you. If you have additional proofs from different external so...

Sometimes it is just better to supply the requested documents, information or clarifications that they ask, if it's not a problem for you. If you dispute their right to ask questions, it may only make the situation more stressful.

There was no doubt that the fee rises would be passed by Parliament. What does parliament care about the rights of non-citizens?

Hold on, we need to see what the Govt replies. One of our MPs (or many) will speak to the government and we need to wait until we receive a proper reply. A baby born in the UK needs no visa to stay in the UK (assuming he/she will not need to leave & re-enter the UK before the parents gain ILR).
