Re: English Qualification in 04/2015 Set(O) form

Also now I come back to my original question that what should we fill up in new form? Do we all agree that we should select the below two option in new from: An academic qualification deemed by UK NARIC to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the United Kingdom a...

Re: English Qualification in 04/2015 Set(O) form

Thanks for your inputs guys. The above information is great. Also just found one more link which is updated on 04/2015 and it also says that it is for guidance for people who wish to apply ILR and has come to UK earlier on Tier1 General. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachmen...

Re: English Qualification in 04/2015 Set(O) form

Thanks for your replies guys. I understand that the guidance hasn't been changed yet but conscious that it may get changed in coming days in near future. I missed to mention earlier that I had already stored the soft copy of the output of PBS calculator earlier which does show the Tier1 options with...

Re: English Qualification in 04/2015 Set(O) form

Well, looks like at least Tier 1 General people will have to ignore PBS calculator coz they don't get their option. But main problem here is that if your degree is of outside UK then you need to have the UK Naric letter otherwise you can't fill up an option in the form. I think the best option is to...

Re: English Qualification in 04/2015 Set(O) form

You are right mate that there hasn't been any update in the guidelines but it's just it has become difficult to decide what to fill up in the form. According to form it looks like if you've not studied in UK then either you need to have the letter from UK NARIC OR You need to do the English B1 test....

Re: English Qualification in 04/2015 Set(O) form

Hi Mate,
Thanks for your reply but I haven't studied in UK at All. I came to UK on tier1 and then did extension using same degree. Until today it wasn't a problem to fill in form as I had option of degree taught in English option.

English Qualification in 04/2015 Set(O) form

HI Guys, I've already booked appointment to apply for ILR in late April and today the form has been changed. The options available for English Qualification has been complicated even further. My case is that I came on Tier1 using Bachelor's degree in 2010 along with a letter from my university that ...

Re: Visit to Isle of Man

Thanks mate. I will also mention my 3 days visit (which would be only 1 day absence as first & 3rd day won't count) in absence section. It's just I am not able to find ferry ticket mail right now but will show the hotel booking at least. You think I can show anything else? I'm also mentioning th...

Re: ILR for dependant - Counting Absences

Hi Guys,

I just want to make sure I've got it right that for Dependant ILR, counting absences is not an issue (even if it is more than 180 days) as long as dependant has been in the UK for applicable 2 or 5 years? Can anyone please confirm this.

Re: ILR for dependant - Counting Absences

Hi Char, Thanks for quick reply. For first question, you have answered that I don't need to provide letter. that's because this 180 days rule doesn't apply to dependant right? It is applicable only to main applicant i think. Qualifying period can be from 2010. Why do you think it would not be? I thi...

ILR for dependant - Counting Absences

Hi, Me an my dependant will be applying for ILR in late April 2015. My wife has been with me in UK since Sept 2010. She is a housewife. Since that time, she's been on different holidays for around 220 days in total of 5 years. As she's been with me since Sept 2010 so I believe, for her the qualifyin...

Re: ILR Fees to increase from 6th April 2015?

Hi "punitsurana", First of all very well done in calling HO and sharing information with us. I have also gone through threads and we're clear that if PEO appointment is booked before 6th April for any later date in April. We will pay only the old fee which is good. For form, it is still li...

Re: ILR Fees to increase from 6th April 2015?

HI, I am also in the same situation. I'll be booking an appointment for late April 2015. It is clear from above discussion that we might not need to pay the difference of fee. Do we have clarity on the form version? I believe if new form version is available then we definitely need to use the new fo...

Re: ILR Application Query

Hi All,

I accept that I haven't been particular in asking my question but can someone please reply to my above question as that will let me decide whether I need to do an extension or not? Also if I don't need to then what will be the earliest date I can apply for my ILR?

Thanks

Re: ILR Application Query

Thanks for your reply mate. The reason I am worried because I came to UK on 20 June 2010 and my 4 years 11 months 2 days will complete on 22 May 2015 so I will be left with only 1 days to apply( as my current Visa is valid till 23 May 2015). So am I correct here or I can apply 28 days before 23 May ...

Re: ILR Application Query

Thanks mate. So we both have our original degree certificates with us. That means we can : 1) Show the original degree certificate 2) Take the print-out from Point Based Calculator showing the Degree is found in UK Naric database. It's really not necessary to get a letter from UK Naric as condition ...
