I am studying a topup MBA.I have a visa for 5th of December2011 and my dissertation submission deadline is 22nd of November 2011. The result will be published in 26th of January 2012. The problem is that while waiting for result can I apply visa extension?

My spouse got a visa as dependent of mine for three months only. So do she need a ticket for two ways? somebody told me my spouse should have round trip ticket to get entry in uk? Is it true? Please help me out?
