Sure you will get it soon ... Have they asked you to send your job contract + Current Job letter for LTR ? If yes that means you are all done and once you will send that you will get in next day reply as i got.. Gud luck and i will keep posting you guys .. I got ref letter on 05/10/2011 for Citizen...

Thanks Rukh, But the thing is it is LTR not PR. I got my LTR in less than 1.5 months too based on spouse of EU citizen. which is for 5 years. Bear in mind PR is for 10 years. So, if you apply for citizenship..you should be here for 5 years on valid visa... Yes thanks i have already passed my 5 Year...

Got LTR Approval in 2 months

Hi Guys just to update you i got LTR Approved within 2 months, 16 days i got the letter today and going to deposit 500 today.

that means that you need a continous 1 year BEFORE the date of application for naturalisation. meaning if you have a gap of even a month in the last year BEFORE you submit your application, it will not be accepted. it does not matter how long is your permission after you apply for naturalistion. i have never seen this rule that you should have a 1 year visa to apply. One can apply for citizenship after 5 yrs of stay .. and when the work visa is given for 2 years block .. it would mean that people can apply for citizenship only after 6 yrs. None can apply after 5 yrs .. i mean just an eyewa...

Just to le you know as you all know that i was waiting for acknowledgement letter for 9 weeks after i had applied for Naturalization. Received today , 26 months average time it says..however it says they have taken masure to reduce time but it will take affect from next year. Thanks for the updated...
