Panicking??? You shouldn't be.

Your time in the country from 2002 to 2005 as a student also counts towards your timeline for ILR. So your application should be straight forward and you can send it by post.

Appointments at the French embassy are released every Friday afternoon for the following week. So I'd advise you to start checking/booking on their website today as from 3pm until probably 3:30pm.

Hope this info can help you get an appointment in the near future.

You'll have to wai...

As I have posted before. You DO NOT have to declare it. It was just a fixed penalty. People who have been arrested and cautioned by the police and whose details are on the PNC DO NOT have to declare it when applying... NOW in your case it was just a fixed penalty + you didnt get arrested.. so RELAX ...

You do not have to declare it as it is not a criminal conviction. You just paid an on the spot fine. So dont worry about it as it will not affect your application nor do you have to mention it.

If they have a British passport, then both of your referees should write down their passport number. I'm sure your GP will put down his passport number as GP's often act as referees for British passport applicants where putting down the referee's passport number is a must. However, I think that GP's...

Receiving acknowledgement letter does not mean that your application is with the case worker. It simply means that your application has been received by the home office.

No they don't. To apply for citizenship, both of your referees have to sign in the referees section on the AN form.

It is only when applying for a british passport (to which you can apply after your citizenship application has been successful), that your referee has to sign on the photo.

Hi All

Just a quick question regarding passports.

When you apply for your first UK passport, do you have to ring your local passport office to book an interview? or can you do it online? Will they normally offer you the earliest available appointment?

Thanks

So does that mean that people would have to pay £655 for the application and £65 for the ceremony then?
