would anyone know why the application is sent to Islamabad to be processed after being checked by the UK HMC?? I thought applications are now sent to the UK for assessments and decisions and then send back to Pakistan to Garry's not to BHC, I dont understand why would they look at them in the UK an...

I would normally reccommend that you put a date about 8 weeks after you have lodged your application. This is because it takes on average 8 -12 weeks to get visa. Once you have got visa most people like to fly to UK starightaway, but those who dont want to can delay their travel for a maximum of 3 ...

They want to introduce the english tests in October this year, but surely this wont affect current applications??? if applications from the current bulk (late May onwards - considering 12 weeks processing time) fails will fall into autumn if they reapply- then they will have to do the English test....

just read now in teh news that spousal english tests are to be introduced this autum That is right, they say the level of English should be equivalent to a 5 - 7 years old Brit which equates to 50 hours of tuition, this will make things more complex particularly for those who did not go to schools ...

Kaidee - observing the past few successes it seems everyone had their visa stamped in about a week after their status changed to Application under process..... I think me and you should get a good news this week, do you feel the same? Though it will be only 3-4 weeks since submission.
