Re: Applying Naturalization and Passport at same time

One thing I have noticed is the time between approval date mentioned on approval letter and the actual receipt of approval letter by post - between 7 to 15 days. Even by second class post, it should reach within 2-4 days. Ack/Biometric letter date and receipt is generally in 2-3 days. May be approva...

Re: Probable Court Case - Impact on us

You really are ready to pay £450? for what? This doesn't sound right from the onset. I am sure you are being taken for a ride. Why are you so anxious when you have done nothing wrong, apart from keeping stuff which was sent to YOUR address? Just call your neighbor's bluff.

Re: Applying for ILR,but break in Tier2 employmnt.Am I eligi

Your best bet is to get a letter from your employer stating that you were required to work from India for that < 90 day period. That should cover the absence. Whether the new ICT visa in Oct 2010 is considered something similar to an ICT extension is not known. Not sure if your employer had an optio...

Re: Tier 2 ICT period for 5 years continuous period

To qualify, you must have had at least 1 of these visas in the 5 years: Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) issued under the Immigration Rules in place before 6 April 2010 I know it is logical to infer from this that period of Tier 2 ICT granted before 6 April 2010 can be counted while applying for ILR...

Tier 2 ICT period for 5 years continuous period

Having read the 'Continuous residence' guidelines here , I see that the list of Visa categories does not include Tier 2 ICT(granted before 6th April 2010). It however is seen in Section 6.1 C of Para 245CD here Just wanted to confirm that period of Tier 2 ICT (granted before 6th April 2010) can stil...

I would now be going through the small claims process to recover my deposit. If the landlord files a counter-claim and worst case the ruling goes against me, would that count as a CCJ against me? No. Just to update, my case went for a hearing and the court decided on a middle ground. I did ask the ...

See this[click]

It wouldn't surprise me if the fees are raised again for Tier 1 extensions, ILR and naturalization applications. Apologies if this information has already been posted.

How did you come to know that fax request for expediting did not work? Did UKBA get back to you? Last year visa application of my dependants(spouse + kids) was stuck for more than 4 months and I had sent a fax to expedite. Got the visa approval in a week's time after sending the fax.

Did your pension sacrifice appear in your payslips? Or did you get a letter from employer about the gross salary with pension sacrifice details?

So Total Gross => £Z = £(X-Y) x 12 (i.e. for a year) £ Z will be used for awarding earning points. Cheers! I am not sure about this. My view is that (employee)Pension contributions through salary sacrifice can be included in your gross salary. There have been cases on this forum where applicants ha...

Thanks Amber. The part of UK I live, the deposit schemes only started from April '13.

I would want to avoid the courts but if the other party is not reasonable, then I do not want to accept the wrongdoing lying down. So was wondering if this would impact me if it does not turn out in my favor.

As long as you are claiming for a 12 month continuous period, you can include earnings till 14th July. So you can claim earnings for the period between 15th July 2012 and 14th July 2013

The consultation principle seems flawed. It doesn't consider the tax + NI contributions of the migrants at all. Especially for Tier 1 General Highly skilled category, most the migrants would be paying more tax + NI than UK average. Also the fact the visa extension charges (for Tier 1) are already ve...

1.Visa is issued from date of approval decision
2.No, since you applied before your visa expired in Feb 2010.
3.No

There would be literally thousands of such cases, especially postal applications done near the visa expiry. So do not fret.

The change was made since deciding on long absences was left to the discretion of senior case workers. This resulted in disparity in decisions. Hence the allowance was made quite generous keeping in mind the nature of some jobs(eg. employees in the oil exploration industry, software consultants) but...

The UKBA documentation is quite clear that you cannot make an in-country application for an initial leave to remain as a PBS dependant. Not sure what the confusion is on that. That is the simple reason for rejecting your application
