Sometimes it takes up to 2 months for HO to reply to a letter. They don't normaly send an acknoledgement letter stating that they've received a letter. they writte an aknoledgment letter just for applications.

I think you might be entitled to home fee if you have been married to your husband for a year or more ( which is your case)
