TB Test Requirement for Family Visit Visa.

I want to sponsor my mother (Pakistani) for 2 years. As per UK BA, anyone wanting to stay over 6 months from Pakistan require TB Test. However, a friend advised me that a 2 year family visit visa does not allow continuous stay of over 6 months, and thus, my mother may not require the TB Test. Just w...

My mother handed her passport to BHC on 29th Sep after appeal allowed. Has any one any idea how long will it take before we get passports back. Is it worth reminding Dubai office off and on to expedite the matter. Many thanks.

Well, justice delayed is justice denied. What is the point of all this appeal process when it takes over a year to process. In retrospect, I think a fresh visa application would be better than going the appeal route.

Appeal Allowed - No further contact from BHC.

My parents appeal was allowed on 12th August. Almost, 1.5 months and still no response from British Embassy Islamabad. My questions is can my parents seek an appointment at BHC Islamabad to submit their passports without waiting for the call letter. Or they need to have a call letter first before th...

it appears ECO has decided that you should be granted visa - without you needing to go for an appeal. To be on safe side, I think it will be good to call AIT -their staff is very responsive and gentle - and discuss should you go ahead with your appeal as there has been a contact from FCO.

I have been asking the question on behalf of my sister. A key objective of using Internet forums is to assist each other, not to expose ones full resume and profile to the world. It will be useful to keep the focus on content of the question, and not scanning through every users profile to dig for p...

Many thanks. I will be defending visit visa rejection of my parents. I have read on some posts that 3 set of documents are required to be submitted at AIT. I did not get any such request in the letters i received. Do we need to submit 3 set of documents to AIT? Also, Home Office guys did not respond...

As I have exhausted all my holidays, sparing a day for the court is not a possibility in my case. I will be obliged if any one can guide the fundamentals.

What goes on during an Appeal Hearing

I have an appeal hearing scheduled for next week in Manchester. This is the very first time in my life I will appear in the court. So few very basic questions: 1. Is there a representative from Home Office during the appeal hearing? Or it is the judge alone. 2. What sort of questions a judge may typ...

Proof of funds for sponsor application

I have to show sponsor financial status as part of an application. I have investments in ns&I premium bonds. I was wondering if that will be accepted as a proof of funds or do I need to show funds only in bank accounts.

I am in a same situation as you. My parents applied for Islamabad. Even the wordings of letter are same. I think as a rule of thumb, they are rejecting family visit visas from Pakistan. No matter whatever evidence you provide them with, they will copy and paste the same stuff. Only recourse is to ap...

Residency application while appeal is pending

I am a British citizen and applied for a visit visa for my parents in January this year. Visa was rejected and appeal is pending. There is a court hearing on 1st week of august. I think the whole appeal process may take rest of the year. Now, I am planning to apply for residency for my parents. Is i...

I did not join the course than and will start the course in Sep 2010. My and dependants visa is still valid. Can I enter UK in Sep 2010 on the visa which was actually issued for Jan 2010 entry.
