Thanks for you reply Carla. We got an email last night telling us that we had sent the docs to the wrong consulate. The docs should have been sent to the LA office and not the NYC one :x Even though I did email them to confirm what office to send the docs too :x They have kindly sent our stuff onto ...

We never got a housing inspection report. We will also be staying at my Mum's house. We submitted a letter from my Mum confirming that we can stay at the property rent free, a few pictures of the house, her mortgage statement, her council tax statement and a utility bill.

FAO USA applicants

Is there anyone else on here that has recently applied for a settlement visa within the USA? My husband sent off his supporting docs to the BC-G NYC office and they were received early morning on Saturday 26th March. He has already completed his online application and has done his biometrics. I was ...

She cannot fly straight back after the wedding unless it's as a visitor. For her to settle in the UK with you she has to apply for a settlement visa in her home country. So either you both stay in DR until her visa is approved, or you fly back to the UK alone and she follows once her visa is approv...

Thought I would keep you all updated on our situation. I am still unemployed on jobseekers allowance and am currently 26 weeks pregnant. I have over £6000 in savings account. My husband is still currently working in the USA. Tomorrow I will be sending all the supporting documents over to my husband...

Thanks Batleykhan. That's what I thought. The main reason for transferring the money is that my savings account accrues interest every month which will help more than it does now when sitting in his US account doing nothing but accruing monthly charges  Also does my husband have to provide cop...

From today my husband will start transferring around 95% of his earnings from his US bank account to my UK bank account. He is the sole earner. As I stated in a previous post, I am currently unemployed on jobseekers allowance and am currently 24 weeks pregnant. The main reason for the transfers is s...

Yip you will just have to live apart for a while I'm afraid. My husband went back to Alaska 2 weeks ago and it's been a nightmare for both of us to be apart. Hopefully we will be back together in just over a month or so. It's difficult but it's just one of they sacrifices you have to make :(

I would also like to add that we are and will be in the near future staying with my Mum at her house rent free. Is there any guidelines regarding third party support? My Mum has a secure permanent job and she is willing to provide support if required.
