It won’t affect your ILR status. However - if you apply on the basis of marriage you need to be in country for 3 years to qualify but if you apply on your own (let’s say divorced and he does not support you - hope not) then the requirement is 5 years. So worst case you may have to wait 2 year ex...

I have done CRB last week it came clean despite having two offences and attended COURT. So not sure what CRB really proves. See my post thread:

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=82276

Some other threads suggest even if you go to court may still be fixed penalty.

Citezenship advise - Never worked

My partner got ILR through family route last year. She is now due for citizenship in few months.

She never worked i.e. no payslips or P60.

Would that cause any problem?

NOTE: I had my ILR this month and I am not married/legally registered as partner etc.

Kind Regards

I arrived around 10.30 (parked in QPark opposite PEO), and after security checks went to the reception an...

Just get your ILR first so that you are secure ... your new employer will wait. Most new employer says the same thing i.e. start as soon as possible. Trust me if you say u will join 2-3 weeks later they will agree ... so dont worry just get ILR before resigning ... tier 1 also takes time so thats no...

Economically active means u have to be earning .... that means in job or doing business etc for past 3 3-6 months. Better to apply when u have a job or earning for at least 3 months ... I dont think you can show dependants earning as an income as the entire application is based on you. (Can some one...

Mention the second one as you have points and fine ... the one with speeding course needs not mentioning (that is the idea of course so the offence wont count ) ... However, just for the peace of miond you can mention both on ILR form it wont do any harm .....

If your company applied for WP mentioning that you will still be paid in india and you will be only based in UK than u r fine. However, if that is not the case then thats considered illegal. Usually WP letter mentions your employment situation i.e. intra-company.. Please read the letter ... If u see...

ILR: Working for old company 2 months while having new WP

I had 2 year work permit with one employer (Aug 05 to June 07). Before the end of that WP obviously I started looking for other jobs and found one and the new company acquired work permit for me in April 07. I was quick to get FLR (April 07) just to be on safe side as I had few months left and I wan...

thx chetanojha.

I thought apply in person (premium same day service) my self is much faster than solicitor. Is it not the case?

What about motoring offences (not major) ? Does that fall in a non-straight forward category?

Kind Regards

ILR: Apply on my own OR use solicitor, which would be better

I have to apply for my ILR next month. I have 2 motoring offences and my application is based on Tier 1 and 2 work permits. As per requirement I have all the paperwork. Some friends are suggesting using Solicitor to apply on my behalf to be on safe side. I personally think I should just go on my own...
