Wanderer, I don't think you have read me correctly, I AM going to meet him and have our vows taken in Aug. I am talking about sponsoring him as a Spouse. Will I have issues concerning the fact I will be a full time student on a part time job which gives me just under £200 a week.

Would it be ok if my parents gave me around £3000-5000 as a gift or something. Would that be classified as savings? What about my student finance i.e. Student grant which doesn't have to be paid back?
