Settlement questions - please help...

How do I prove that my house will not be overcrowded, and that there will be room for my husband? I don't have a mortgage, and I don't rent either, so there's no tenancy agreement. I have no evidence which shows how many rooms there are in the house. Some applicants seem to have been successful with...

Hi I can't imagine how you must be feeling right now, but try and stay calm - you can appeal this decision. No one one here can really give you any advice until you receive the exact reasons for refusal. I'm guessing that they're satisfied you're a genuine couple seeing as you have children, and hav...

TOURIST VISA FOR BOYFRIEND APPROVED - 4 DAYS.

Just thought I would share my experience here... My fiance is from Fiji, which is a developing country - and seen as 'risky' for overstayers - particularly after the political coup in 2006, and its recent ban from the commonwealth. Anyway, he applied for a tourist visa to come and spend the Christma...

Confused (Again)

Hi My boyfriend from Fiji is applying for a visitors visa to stay with me in the UK. I am sponsoring him as he'll be staying with me. However, he's going to stay with his Step Brother, who is in the British Army, with his wife and kids, for the first few days of his stay - as they live near the airp...

Are deeds to house essential to sponsor someone? confused...

Bit of a strange question, but hopefully some of you wiser people wil be able to help. I'm sponsoring someone to come over on a tourist visa. My dad owns the property that we are staying in, but it's part of the hotel that he owns. I asked him for the deeds to the property to show the ECO but he say...

Hi I don't think the previous of refusal will go against you, if anything it will prove that the relationship existed at that time - which is important for a fiance visa. What were the reasons for refusal last time? Just start the application for the fiance visa and be as honest as possible. If you ...

This is true John. I have been told that a rejection of the tourist visa will not go against us if we apply for fiance/spouce visa - if anything it will show our intentions to maintan our relationship. I think I just have to make sure we dont re-apply for another tourist visa if this one is rejected...

Hi thank you for your reply. I'm confused because in some ways the application looks hopeful because he has money to support his own stay, he has been abroad (to Australia) in the past and did not over stay, and I can clearly prove that my family can provide him with accomodation. On the other hand....

Hi I am a british Citizen, my boyfriend is Fijian. He is planning to come and stay with me for six weeks over christmas. I am under the impression that you can apply for the Visa 3 months before the date of the flight, so he is going to apply as soon as possible (september). I have two main concerns...
